What do you think is more powerful : the body or the mind ?

The mind, it controls everything, it has no limitations unless set by itself, the body has many limits and can become hindered by anything including the mind.

lol everyone says the mind even though its right ima be differentn  i say body, based on scenario, i fire starts, what we gonna do sit n say, "with my mind ima out this fire, lol, no!!with our body we get the h**l out, so its more powerful you can do physical things with it.

The mind is significantly more powerful, the body works to serve the mind.

The body is a tool, it can examine and evaluate but do nothing with the information it is capable of collecting.

Really though it is not about individual parts, it is about what they can do as one.

I say the Will is the most powerful thing we have. (But FYI, I don't believe it to be "free").

The Body equals the Subconscious. The body contains a sort-of genetic history, hence Jung's idea of the Collective Unconscious; not a literal part of the mind but something which united and equates us all - even with our ancient ancestors.

Each element has its own "structure" of sorts, and therefore its own impulses and dare I say "desires."

The Conscious mind is the ego-self which identifies with the body and the persona.

On one level the body and mind are separate and on another they are quite different.

Essentially the human manifestation is a confluence of forces, (see: the Five Aggregates of Buddhism and David Hume's Bundle Theory).

Neither is more powerful than the other as they are not separate - they are both part of the same system: the mind is part of the body and vice versa.

Without one the other is useless - Without body, no energy or chemical interactions to create thoughts and action. Wthout body, no senses to interact with world. Without mind no mechanism of contol or direction.

Think of of how, for example, physical exercise cures mild depresssion - there is no separate Mind/Body paradigm
