miami is better in my view. although their both extremely beautiful Miami's  restaurants and shopping areas are basically suitable for the average american. Costa rica has that Mexican vibe to it. Its good if your into trying new things.

Personally, Costa Rica, because it is more secluded, exotic, and beautiful.

It would depend on what your going for though. If its women/men, partying etc, go to Miami.

If you want scenery, adventure, and nature, go to Costa Rica.

not so crowded, industrialized, etc.

but for a spring break/party time i'd probably pick miami. for relaxation and peaceful enjoyment , i'd go to costa rica

I think Costa Rica because it is not in a northern american state, but there are many more women in miami beaches.

Depends what your going for, the girls, the experience, or the environment.

I've never been to costa rica so i would have to say miami.

It probably is better in costa rica A.K.A. tasty shore (in English)

A question that can't be answered that easily. Miami is a city, Costa Rica is a country. There are many more beaches in Costa Rica.  There are also beaches on the Pacific and Atlantic, not just the Atlantic as in Miami.  The Pacific beaches, in my opinion are some of the nicest you will find. But here again the beaches on this coast vary as to where in the country you are.  The surfing and wind surfing are far superior in Costa Rica.  The water is cleaner in Costa Rica and the fishing is phenomenal.

With all that in mind you are still taking a Central American country vs. a major metropolitan area of the US. Very civilized where almost everyone speaks English and the food is really quite good. Also Costa Rica is alot cheaper than South Beach.
