  1. dont natwest give u a rail card? and you can customise your natwest card- thats the best bit!

  2. I'm quite happy with my natwest.

My advise to you is this, once setting up the account move all money from other accounts into there. Then set up an on line high interest savings account. Because as a student you will sometimes have a lot of money (just after a loan payment) you but sometimes it will be a long time before you get any money and sometimes you have to pay big expenses (rent). This means that the amount of money you have can yo-yo quite fast. You want a high interest account for when you have a lot of money, because the interest on all student accounts is very low. But you want to have both accounts with the same bank and able to access both online so it is easy to transfer when you need it. Remember you also have your overdraft so you usually don't need to have much money in the student account. Although sometimes the reason you won't have much money there won't be your choice!

  3. Natwest.  By miles.

  4. one that allows you to keep your interest free overdraft for as long as possible after graduation

RBS is interest free for 3 years after graduation

others are only interest free up to a year after grad.

this is probably more important than gimmicks!

(railcard only costs about £20, so its not that big a deal!)

  5. dunno HSBC
