Starters:

C-Wilt Chaimberlain

PF-Bill Russell

SF-Larry bird

SG-His Airness

PG-John Stockton

Second String:

C-Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

PF-Karl Malone

SF-Scottie Pippen

SG-Oscar Robertson(I'm a kings fan)

PG-Magic Johnson

11 & 12:

Jerry West & Dr. J

I chose J. Stockton to star because he is actually a better PG in my opinon but magic is a better player (check the career assists totals)

and Shaq is just not better than the two all time scoring leaders (Malone & Kareem). He would be the 13th guy though, what do ya think? whats your lineup?

  1. 1) Where's Pistol Pete?

    2) Wilt Chamberlin only put up the numbers he did because when he played nobody could guard him

    With that in mind:

    1st String:

    C- Kareem

    PF- Larry Legend

SF- (by the time his career's over) Lebron

    SG- MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMICHAEL JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJORDAN

    PG- Magic

    2nd String:

    C- Hakeem

    PF- Bill Russell

    SF- The Iceman

    SG- Oscar

    PG- Pistol Pete

  2. Mine would be very similar to yours! I would take...

    C-Wilt

    F-Karl Malone

SF-Larry Bird (I don't find scottie pippen to be that great)

    SG-MJ

    PG- My man- John Stockton

I'm a jazz fan so that explains two of my pics! but John was the best true point guard! Wilt has amazing stats! Well MJ explains himself!

  3. great!

  4. C- Kevin Garnett

    PF- Tim Duncan

    SF- Larry Bird

    SG- Michael Jordan

    PG- Steve Nash

    Bench:

    C- Hakeem Olajuwon

    PF- Moses Malone

    SF- Scottie Pippen

    SG- Kobe Bryant

    PG- John Stockton

  5. PG- Magic Johnson (Championships prove it all)

    SG- Michael Jordan

    SF- Larry Bird

    PF- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

    C- Wilt Chamberlain

    Second String

    PG- Jerry West

    SG- Kobe Bryant

    SF- Dominique Wilkiens

    PF- Karl Malone

    C- Bill Russel

  6. C Wilt Chamberlain

    PF Karl Malone

    SF Larry Bird

    SG Oscar Robertson

    PG Magic Johnson

  7. Jorden H, that's a pretty good team.  I wouldn't necessarily agree with all of it (e.g. John Havlicek was a better player than Scottie Pippen), but it's pretty reasonable.

Due to the presence of Wilt, Russell, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Jordan and Oscar on your roster, It would be very difficult, if not impossible, to put together a team from the remaining players in NBA history that could beat these guys.

You're right about Stockton's assist totals vs. vs. Magic:

    1) Stockton was a pure point guard from day one. Magic had to share PG duties with the very capable Norm Nixon for the first four years of his career... Nixon himself was good for 600-700 assists per year sharing PG duties with Magic.

    2) Magic was injured a lot more.  Stockton was an ironman... he came up in the 84-85 season, the only games he missed were:

       4 games in 1990 and

       18 game in 1998

That's it... otherwise, Stockton played all 82 games in 16 seasons, and played all 50 during the strike season of 1999...Stockton retired after the 2003 season. Stockton also had a much longer career (1,504 games vs. 906 for Magic).

bflip33 - Wilt only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him?

    That's an idiotic statement.

Michael Jordan also only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Kareem only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Karl Malone only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Dominique Wilkins only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Oscar Robertson only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Larry Bird only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Dr. J only put up the numbers he did because no one could guard him

Get the idea?  It's an idiotic statement.     See that, now you just learned a little something about basketball.

  8. I like it...Personally I would start Kareem at the center position, and have Wilt at the PF position so they'd have a big line up.

I would also put Magic at the starting PG. With his they would have the biggest line up ever.

I'd also put Kobe over Dr. J. I think Kobe is the better defender.

  9. c - moses malone

    pf - hakeem olajuwon

    sf - larry bird

    sg - john havlicek

    pg - dennis johnson

  10. WOW, you pretty much have the same list I would have. The only thing I might change is I'd switch Karl Malone and Bill Russell. I think Malone was a far more dominant Power forward overall than Russell.

I also agree that Stockton was a better true point guard, but that Magic was a better player.

  11. Pg. Magic

    Sg. Mj

Sf. Grant Hill (in his prime he was the best.)

    Pf. The Dream

    C. Shaq

    Second String

    Pg Gary Paton

    Sg Kobe

    Sf Lebron

    Pf Shawn Kemp

    C Wilt

    11 & 12

Larry Bird / Penny Hardaway (prime)

  12. Quite similar with yours..
