  1. 9:30 is a good bedtime. according to this chart a 13 yr old should have 9.25 hours of sleep.

I have 13 yr old twins going into 8th grade and they go to bed at 9:30 and get up at 6:45. If they had a long day and seem tired I sometimes will have them go to bed by 9.

  2. I think I was probably in bed by 9 or 10 when I was that age. You can make him go to bed, but you can't make him fall asleep. I know I would stay up reading longer than I was supposed to.

  3. I stayed up all night, and watched Conan O'Brien.  I went to bed around 2:30. As did my cousins. Though I am a guy, I don't think that matters.

*Sigh*  Oh the days when I was happier...

  4. I would say to bed and read at 9 and 9:30 lights off!

  5. That depends what time he/she has to get up in the morning.  9 hours of sleep is sufficient.

  6. well that depends what time the school starts too. my school starts at 9:30 so i dont go to sleep till 10

  7. 9pm.

they may want to and be able to stay up later, but remember how early they have to be up in the morning to get ready for school. 13 is a crucial age for proper development through puberty, so a decent night's sleep is needed.

  8. Well i don't really have a bedtime... But maybe 11 or 11:30 because you definitely can make us go to bed but you can't make us go to sleep... so yeah 11 or 11:30 but no later than 12... that's suggestions for your child cuz i would never go to sleep THAT early!

  9. I think 10 would be a good school night bed time.  That would give them 8 hours if they sleep until 6.

  10. 9:30. That was the time when I was 13. That way they are not that sleepy in the morning :)

  11. 10:15 at the latest. That's when my sister would go to bed at age 13.

  12. If your child has to be up by 6:30 to get on the bus before school starts at 8 then bed time should be 9:00 - 9:15.

  13. I'm 13. I go to bed at 9:30 and wake up at 6 in the morning and I'm still extremely tired.. It really depends on what time you have to wake up.

  14. 9pm. They need enough sleep to properly function in school.

  15. I have no certain sleep time. I am not up too late (1AM+) either. When my dad wakes me up at 6:30AM, I usually just suck it up and go to the shower. The shower wakes me up. Well, that's me. Anything from 9:30PM-11PM is fine.

  16. im the same age and i go to bed 945-1015

  17. There are a few things to consider when deciding this.  On average, teens require about 9 hours of sleep for optimal rest.  However, due to natural body clocks, teens are programmed to go to sleep later in the night and sleep later in the morning.  This fights most school schedules as most schools begin early in the day.  If you count backward 9 hours from when your child has to be out of bed this would make the ideal bed time for your child.  So, if your child has to be out of bed by 6:30 to make it to school on time then a 9:30 lights out time would work.  However, if your child is one that takes forever to settle in and finally fall asleep then you may need to make it a bit earlier to accommodate the time it takes for one last important thing to discuss and some reading time.  If your child starts getting ready for bed at 9:30, but it takes until 11:00 for sleep to finally come, then you need to begin the bedtime prep earlier.  Now, 9 hours is just an average.  Some kids do well on that while some require 10 or more and some do fine on just 8.  I'd start with aiming for 9 full hours of sleep and adjust with what works best for your child.  Sleep deprivation is actually on the rise for children and has been linked to numerous concerns such as obesity, attention disorders, and depression.

  24. well wen i was that age i went to bed around 10-10:30 and i got up at 6:30-7 and was ok

but if i stayed up any later i couldnt get up in the morning.
