  1. I'm going to choose more than one.

"The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan.

I think this is the best reasoned skeptics books.

    "Parapsychology: The Controversial Science"

    by Robert S. Broughton

It addresses research findings and resistance

"An Introduction to Parapsychology" by H.J. Irwin

This is an excellent review of current research including problems in the field that need to be addressed.

    "Varieties of Anomalous Experience"

This is an examination from a psychological perspective.

  2. Rose Alteus "The Eagle and the Rose", any of Sylvia Brownes books (whether or not you fully believe her), "Psychic Diaries" by Lyssa Matteau.

  3. I have read a book that is called "Fantasmas /Ghosts". Well it depends, because if you want to know more about ghosts that book is the most indicate. That book is written by 4 authors and has a very easy topics.

    Greetings..

  4. Any debunking book will do just fine, as any pro-parapsychology book is utter nonsense and a waste of anyone's time!

  5. I was trying to contact you

when I looked at your profile when you added me

I noticed your last question was about Randi and thought you may be interested in this

    http://www.survivalafterdeath.org/articl...

it is huge amounts of reading but worth it

sorry to post here as I am not answering your question , but didnt know another way to get in touch

I just want more people to know about Randi ( the Con man )

ok I will answer your question anyway lol

Archives of the Mind by Professor Archie Roy

  6. I think Dean Radin's book The Conscious Universe is probably the best overall (followed by his recent book "Entangled Minds") because Radin covers the evidence very thoroughly and conscientiously responds to skeptical challenges.  He shows that parapsychological evidence actually _has_ been replicated using rigorous experimental protocols, that successful parapsychological results _have_ been published in peer-reviewed journals, that neither fraud _nor_ the file-drawer effect explain the best substantial evidence for ESP, and that skeptical rejection of the evidence stems more from fear of the implications that ESP holds for the current physical explanatory framework and seldom out of any real regard for science.

  7. Please stick to the scientific texts and do whatever you can to avoid making frauds like Sylvia Browne even more wealthy.

  8. Flim Flam by James Randi

It starts with the Cottingly Fairies,

it also tackles the Bermuda triangle,

Von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods garbage,

Targ and Puthoff's Geller research (There was enough for another book)

    and more.

Even believers will be amazed at the chicanery and fraud that people attempt.

  9. I like the set put out by Time and Life, it give all the back ground and information with out voicing an opinion.

  10. There is a recent book out, titled Parapsychology and the Skeptics, by Chris Carter that deals with the historical and experimental evidence,  the "skeptical" objections, and  much more.  It is a skeptical examination of the arguments of the skeptics.

The book’s website can be found by entering the title and author into a good search engine.
