What do you think is the best part about camping out in the woods?

A crackling fire with fresh caught fish in a fryin' pan.

Tending the fire so that the bears won't creep up on us in the middle of the night.  Also smores and roasted hot dogs are good.

Getting up in the wee hours of the morning before the long roll calls the troops into formation, and sharing a cup of coffee with the First Sergeant before breakfast.  We talk about the coming day and how we're going to drive those treasonous Confederates all the way back to Richmond - knowing they and their First Sergeant are telling each other the exact same thing about driving us consarned Yankees all the way back to Washington and chase Old Abe up a sour apple tree!  Um - I go camping in the woods because my pards and I enjoy re-enacting the American Civil War...

the smell of food cooking, looking up at the stars at night with your man, having a drink and cooking on an open fire, going looking for a stream for water and to wash, there is so much to do and lots to enjoy. but i cant fit it all in but the best part for me is sleeping in the same sleeping bag as my husband, i love that and he dose too
