I have age of empires 2 right now but i suck... a lot.

just wondering if there was a game out there a little simpler and more noob-friendly, so i can learn basic strategies to apply to any rts. also it has to be able to run on a slower computer, thanks

  1. Command and Conquer Tiberium wars has been out for a while, but it isn't as great as previous titles.

You can get Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 which is coming out soon. It should be good. But.....

Warcraft 3 has a nice "tutorial" and good maps to play on, the story makes it easier for players to get into and it goes at a nice pace.

    Any others I wouldn't recommend, or I haven't tried.

  2. Starcraft or the very first Warcraft.  They both have really good tutorial that's built into the game.

  3. Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 is what got me into RTS game, also try Command and Conquer Generals which has a similar interface as Age of Empires but with the simplicity of Red alert.

  4. Do you have the gold edition? The best way to learn is practice, and practice is a lot easier if you have a more advanced player allied with you.

I'll play you, email me at dj_alf345@hotmail.com

Sorry thats not a straight forward answer

  5. Rise of Nation: Rise of Legends

    Age of Empires III

    Warcraft III

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II

Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

    Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War

    Starcraft

Rising Kingdom...it's an old game but very addicting

i think that's all, oh i almost forgot...Supreme Commander and Universe at War: Earth Assault...there the best RTS out there...

  6. Warcraft 3

    or

    Starcraft

they can get hard but they do a good job explaning things

and they can run on the slower pc's
