Rebuild towns, and limit cities. Get horses back into the picture.

Mackinac Island between the Michigan pennisulas, is dedicated to keeping emmision free. There are no motorized anything on the island. I don't even think the lawnmowers are gasoline powered. However, they are fully modern making use of wind and electric power.
