  1. Bad parenting, mediocre teaching, video games and sports.  


  2. the fact that the government can't stay out of our education.  

  3. While I do agree that bad/neglectful/apathetic parenting is one possible cause, there's only so much you can pin on them. In some cases, even over parenting, or just attentive parenting, can lead to youth misbehaving. It makes them all.. rebellious.

    I believe the bigger cause, if not the biggest, is peer pressure; the undying need to be cool. Aparently, being intelligent is not cool - it's dorky and makes you a loser. To be a cool kid, you need to cut class, drink, smoke, do drugs, talk back to your teacher, be a rebel etc. Some kids really want to be this way, though I think the majority fear being excluded by their popular peers, so go along for the security that conforming brings.

Wats da pont if you donut have too use wat u learn in skool in life   u no like like.... like....if your parentz make u or your teacher makes u use it out side of skool  l;ike like read a booke or right a leter or sum thin. or 4 the skool newspapper or apply critical thinking skills and practice application problems .
