  1. Intelligence is knowledge.

wisdom is the ability to apply that knowledge in every circumstance.

  2. intelligence = knowledge/mind/intellect

    wisdom = the spirit

"Knowledge is of the mind, Wisdom is of the Spirit."

One comes from without, the other comes from within.

  3. ...the product...

  4. an intelligent person has made mistakes in their life and bases all decisions on knowledge.

a wise person learns from the mistakes of others and is seen more as an introverted version of an intelligent person.

  5. Intelligence is booksmart and easily measured by tests. Wisdom comes from experience with trial and error. You have to fail in order to be wise. Wisdom can't be measured.

  6. Intelligent is a given. Wisdom is worked for, by using your intellect.

  7. Intelligent people do things with extreme precision that don't need to be done at all if you're wise.

  8. to me, intelligence is the knowledge of the facts, such as 2+2=4 or how many chromosomes are in a cell...etc.  Wisdom is a persons ability to use those facts to come to conclusions of their own.

  9. i dont think either can be measure. the difference is the way its attained. wisdom comes from what one has lived and experienced. it cant be taught by another human only by one self. intelligence is attained from what other tell you. you may be ignorant but wise or naive but intelligent. in the end it all depends how one applies it.

  10. Intelligence is the ability to understand something and to work out a problem.

Wisdom comes from life experience allowing one to see beyond the solution.

  11. wisdom is knowing how to apply your intelligence (and there are many different types of intelligence not just "book smarts) to get through life.

  12. intelligence is the map

    wisdom is the territory.

I think both are equally important, and best combined.

  13. intelligence is knowing facts but wisdom is knowing when is the correct time and how to apply intelligence
