I done a study on the growth rate of property in melbourne and found cairnlea 500m west of the western ring rd has grown 70% in the past 14 months. 11 km from the city via westgate, 10 km from docklands via ballerat rd, Coles has recently opened as well as schools, future gym being built. Whittlesea is listed as being officially the fastest growing suburb in Melbourne. It is also the best place to buy a house, as it is considered to be the cheapest comparitavely and will probably go up in price in the next 10 years to more than double what it is now.
