What do you think is the limit when it comes to height, weight and waistline and you want to do a handstand?

  1. Well, height is not a limiting factor, that's for sure. Weight and waistline are not necessarily the best things to focus on as limiting factors. A handstand needs sufficient strength to be able to support your body weight and flexibility to be able to line the body up to stay up in handstand.

How would learning the handstand past the age of 15 be reckless and disrespectful?!  Please elaborate.  I learned it at the age of 22 and became proficient at it (being able to hold over 1 min. long static holds) and I've extended that skill over to hand balancing learning different presses.  It's a skill that's not very hard to learn, with constant, solid training you'll get it in 2 months.

    As long as you're strong enough to carry your own bodyweight, then you'll get it done.  Other than that there are not very many restrictions.

  3. I don't think those are the metrics to use in determining when to do a handstand.  I've always said that anyone doing a handstand after the age of 15 is reckless and disrespectful.
