Humidity is definitley important but is it the most important?

  1. Humidity is important but there is one often overlooked item.... Freeze thaw, cold hot cycles.....  Ammunition is best if its stored at a stable temperature.... Somewhere around room temperature.... If stored in a home or heated building it should not be stored next to an outside wall.... The idea is to avoid warm / hot / - warm / cold  - freeze thaw cycles.... Ammunition should be stored in an inner closet or room away from heating or airconditioning equipment and away from vents blowing directly at it...

    Safety, Kids can't get to it, will not blow my house up

    Humidity

    Temp changes

  3. Ammunition companies state the preferred storage or ammunition is in a cool dry place.

    Humidity is not good for long term storage of ammo.

  4. Consistent temperature, nice and cool like a dry basement.
