  1. Jagr to New York for Aanson Carter. This was a deal that was made for one reason: to cut salary.

  2. Luongo to Vancover

  3. 2000- Milbury (of the Islanders) drafts goaltender Rick DiPietro with the first overall pick instead of Dany Heatley, despite having drafted goalie Roberto Luongo with the fourth overall pick three years earlier. Milbury then trades Luongo and Olli Jokinen to Florida for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha.

2001- Milbury gets Alexei Yashin from Ottawa for Zdeno Chara, Bill Muckalt, and the 2nd overall pick in the 2001 draft, which became Jason Spezza.

Any of Milbury's trades are equally as bad...

  4. Either Roberto Luongo to Vancouver for Bertuzzi and Auld, or Joe Thornton to San Jose for Sturm, Stuart, and a bag of potato chips or whatever they got for him. Hard to believe those teams still have fans after those bone-headed moves.

  5. The Luongo and Jagr trades are both huge gafs. what did Florida give up for Vokoun?

  6. this is a tad more then 10 years ago, 1993 actually i think, but the most lopsided trade in NHL history ever could be...

eric lindros from the nordiques for peter forsberg, ron hextall, chris simon, mike ricci, kerry huffman, steve duchesne, a 1st round selection in 1993 jocelyn thibault, and another 1st round selection in the 1994 draft, and $15,000,000 cash.

  7. I know it is not in the NHL but I think there was a kid in the minors that was traded for some sticks and hockey tape.

  8. Pit - Armstrong, Christensen, Esposito and draft pick to Atl for Dupuis.

  9. well i dont know about the last 10 years but this year i thought

    Umberger to Columbus

Flyers just pretty much gave Columbus "There" spot at next years playoffs

-FYI that would be Columbus' first playoff ever

  10. Milbury trade that sent Yashin to NYI for Muckalt, Chara and Spezza to Ottawa

  11. Well, I would like to mention Thornton being traded to the San Jose Sharks in a four player deal, which sent forwards Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau and defenceman Brad Stuart to Boston.

However I ahve to say the aformentioned trade of Luongo and Olli Jokinen to Florida for Mark Parrish and Oleg Kvasha.
