Oh my God, it is without doubt 'The Descent', still gives me the heebi-jeebies thinking about it now. It's more of a psychological horror than your conventional blood, guts and gore horror.

Basically, group of girls go underground caving in an unmapped series of caves somewhere in the mountains in North America BUT, they get trapped with no way out!! Cue weird goings on, freaky claustrophobic camera angles and some of the most suspense scenes that'll stay with you forever! Highly recommended, just don't watch on your own, wooooooo :oD

The Ring-

The video tape actually has a plot to it. The girl who haunts them is who the video is connected to. Rachel rushes to find who this girl is and why she died in order to save herself and her son. Yes they watched it and only have 7 days to solve the puzzle.

I saw a movie in which a newly married couple moves into an apartment where someone had been murdered a few years earlier, and the spirit/ghost of the person who was murdered then enters the body of the woman. I found it pretty scary, and I was scared for months after watching it. I don't remember the name anymore, though.
