What do you think is your chance of winning the lottery?

it's actually quite complicated, well easy if 'math' is one's strong suit.

I'd have to sit here a little while to remember the exact equation, but it's actually higher/harder to win than most realize.

simply put, you need to consider the amount of money the typical "winner" puts in till they're lucky day arrives.

then consider debts, taxes and whatever else they have

then odds, the obvious factor.

so all in all, the chance of actually "winning" as in coming ahead is....

well, as good as the odds of winning the lottery

I once heard that the lottery is a tax on the poor, desperate, or dumb. There are plenty of people who buy tickets for entertainment that don't fit any of those categories, which is cool, I guess. I hate loosing money, so I don't play. My odds are zero.

Getting 5 numbers + the bonus it is 1 in 2,330,636

Getting 5 numbers is 1 in 55,491.33333
