Yesterday at 2:30 pm i got a phone call from my fiance when he was at work, he told me that he needed to go to the ER and so i took him there, what happened was he went to the bathroom and after he passed a hard stool he was passing blood clots. So the nurse asked him a lot of questions and the doc checked him out and they did a blood count and the doc doesn't understand why his body is doing this, my fiance is only 18 years old, the doc told him to go see a gastroenterologist to see if he has colon cancer which it does run in his family ,so i'm worried about him we are going to have our first child in 2 almost 3 months and if he has cancer i don't know how i can handle that. almost cryed right there in the hospital when they said that. but my fiance said he's had this problem off and on since he was 12, but never seen a doctor about it and i basicly yelled at him for it b/c that isn't normal. What's your advice?

  1. if he's had this problem for a long time, you probably have less to worry about. And there are lots of different treatments for colon cancer now. He may not be completely cured, but better. Also it could just be something like week anal walls. Don't worry!

  2. It's definitely worth seeing a doctor.  Don't get too stressed though....it could be anything from cancer to hemorhoids.

Make the appt ASAP and have peace of mind!

  3. Dear crystal i think its a chrons syndrome or ulserative colitis treatable with a gostroenterologist , chances of getting cancer is reomote possibility.

    Does not sounds like that.

Dont  worry no cancer i think

  4. don't stress out, what ever is wrong with him cant be changed by your stressing out just try to take things as they come. don't assume the worst just prepare for it
