What do you think it means if every Baptist I meet always latches onto me and says they are praying for me?

It means that they believe that faith in Christ is the only way to salvation. Additionally, they are concerned about you enough to offer intercessory prayer (prayer on your behalf). Contrary to popular belief, most churches don't offer salvation bucks or special rewards to people who lead non-believers to Christ, rather they acknowledge that man cannot save another man (is is only the work of God).

In all likelihood, they have your best interests at heart.
