I am 24 y/o, married for 4 years, no kids (nor do I want any) and have been working on my college degree since I was a senior in high school and I'm still not done! I failed some classes here and there, trying to major in something I was not good at. I have since switched my major to something I am very good at. I own my own have a fun, loving marriage, I love my dogs and have some great friends not to mention a job I love. Am I a failure because I've failed some classes in college and I'm still not done and it's been 7 years? I feel like a failure!

  1. You aint a failure cause you've failed some classes in college, regroup, retake the classes do well and get the degree you are aiming for.

  2. It's normal, even healthy, to have to work through setbacks and, yes, even fail a few times at things as we go along. It's those who can't grow from mistakes and setbacks that fail. You sound like you have learned from your mistakes, found new paths, and are happy. You've grown, you are succeeding. And if it took you a little longer, maybe that's what you had to go through in order to get where you are today.

  3. happy, lots of money

  4. You seem to be happy with your life thus far.  So no your not a failure.  Too many people associate success with higher education and monetary gains.  In the end your happiness is all that matters.  I know college grads who make good money but hate their careers and this in turn effects their family life.  Success is happiness failure is not. Therefore you seem like a succesful person to me.  Remember lifes too short to base your worth on anything other than your experiances and happiness.

  5. Oh my goodness NO you are not a failure. My definition of success includes great family and friends, a job you do not consider a job, and a totally balanced lifestyle where you live to work, rather than work to live... where you want what you have, rather than having what you want...where smiles outweigh frowns.

Don't fret over college. You will finish when you finish. Enjoy your life. You are doing swell.

  6. Success is whatever you think it is.

  7. Happy

    Have kids

    Have financial security

Have mastered something in your life.
