country is going to the dogs in many ways in a drip, drip, slow fashion. What would get you marching? How bad would things need to get?

For instance 75% of our laws are now made in Brussels by unelected commissioners. The European parliament is a joke. More and more powers are slowly been given away. Political union was a thing invented by the politicians and never put to a referendum. And Brown says no referendum will be held. So with a slow, drip, drip motion we will eventually become a region of Europe and cease to exist as a country. So why are the people not on the streets demanding a referendum.

  1. The people in this country are so apathetic.

  2. Sometimes I can't sleep at night because I am worrying about Brussels ruining my life (sarcastic). Come on. Tell us exactly which of our laws were sent from Brussels against the wishes of Parliament.

Maybe people are not marching in protest because these problems are in the imagination of the eurosceptics.

EDIT - just read your additional posts but you still fail to say WHICH laws have become law without the consent of our House of Commons.

And to those who blame Labour for EU laws - The CONSERVATIVE party took us into the EEC under Edward Heath. The following Labour government held a referendum to come out. The public voted to stay in. Matter settled.

  3. just say the word and i,ll be there.europe is all about politicians looking after themselves

How can the u k not  be in Europe has someone moved us into the atlantic.we are  part of europe and we don,t need more a*****e politicians governing us.Labour was and is the worst thing that ever happened to the U K

  4. Isn't there enough marching and protesting right now?

  5. You ask what it would take to get people on the streets protesting and having mass marches, the poll tax managed just that when it was introduced. Unfortunately these days people seem to have the attitude "Whats the point" the politicians are going to s***w us over one way or the other. Since the late 60's there has always been people saying "this country is ripe for a civil war and mass protests" It has yet to happen.People seem to be content to just grumble amongst their selves.

  6. if i was at one end of the street and there was free beer at the other end...

  7. Well there IS a rally in London, marching  for a referendum on the EU Constitution! The Pro-Referendum rally (Google it) will be held in London on Saturday,27th October. So if you truly want the referendum, now is the time to put your feet into action! I shall definitely be there. There are other things you can do like..... write/mail your local  MP,get involved in all the website petitions, even write/mail Parliament demanding a Referendum, sign the petition on the number 10 website, encourage national papers to get involved.I have done it all!! Make your voice heard...its better than just moaning and doing nothing....

    You are welcome!!

  8. no-one will take to the streets of the u.k. because you wont/cant afford to lose any money.have you not got it yet ,have money from bank plenty of it,you work longer hours to repay it back so you have not /cant afford to protest.simple solution is force any government that refuses to listen to our demands.
