i am doing a research on the business concept i am planning to do for my Applied and Integrated Studies class. The concept is a dog friendly healthy/vegetarian Cafe/Pub.

1. What are your thoughts on having a vegetarian (if not, healthy) cafe?

2. Thoughts on making it dog friendly? Meaning dogs can come and enjoy as well. dogs will have their own menu too.

3. Where do you think is the best location (serendra, eastwood, fort or others)

4. How about the concept of having a cafe during the day and converting it to a pub at night?

5. Has there been a concept similar to this one already? if so, where?

  1. Not sure if that would work or not but give it a try!

  2. That would be nice.... I would go there for sure...

    1. regarding veggie cafe... i'm not sure if this would work out. most dog lovers are none vegetarian...

    2. yeah, most establishment hates dog... i think that would be a good starter to make our pets welcome to diff restos. as were already done in europe and us...

    3. anywhere would be a great place but you need to base your menu price on the location.

    4. I think, it depends on the location... it would also work. but be sure to still put space during night for the cafe area.

    5. In malate area, there was already a concept of day cafe and night bar. but the dog friendly thing, none yet. but in europe and US there is already a whole concept of that...

  3. 1.  sounds good?

    2.  sure the more the merrier

    3.  near lola chayong's place

    4.  yeah

    5.  the others serve bangus too though

  4. it is better not to put ur 'dog as food, their better as a pet.

  5. Hello,

A good area would be in La Tiendesitas except that there is already a Mario's Kitchen there.  Perhaps you could open one in the fort area.  Yes you may convert it to a bar in the evening. We can provide you with good bands on week ends.

  6. if somebody already thought of this then there probably having money problems that's the most stupid thing i have ever heard but if u put this thing in that place i would come

  7. nice idea coz dogs are man's bestfriends.serendra would be the best for such cafe would be expensuve and can be afford by people with extra money to spare.serendra is an expensive place and might be fit with your idea.

  8. I think it's a good idea, as there are many dog lovers in Manila who might like to take their pets along when they dine out.  But this is a meat loving country, too, so you might consider a vegetarian-friendly cafe, instead of a fully vegetarian one, so as to avoid excluding perhaps 85% of the dog-loving population.

Eastwood would be a good location because Quezon City is primarily a residential city, unlike Makati which is the central business district and more people work rather than live there.

This would be a first, if I remember right.

  9. serendra is a good place. im usually in serendra and bonifacio high street and a lot of pet owners walk their dogs. maybe you can put your cafe here..

but it wouldnt be a good idea to turn your cafe to a pub. of course, you allow pets inside and  the smell of the animals might not be a good addition to your pub.

you can opt for a healthy cafe instead of a vegetarian cafe
