  1. I think the sickest thing it has done is making Gender a big deal. The men of tv are "manly men" and the women on tv are "girly." They make people feel like they need to go with a certain gender role. Women must love shopping, talking, and look innocent all the time. Men can't show feelings, must have manly jobs, and be the ones who cheat!

  2. Regarding weight and self-esteem, the media has definietly made children feel like they have to look a certain way and weigh a certain weight. This causes children to have low self-esteem if they cannot conform to the definition of beauty that the media has set.

  3. Good movie to watch is Tough Guise ( i think thats what its called)

Pretty much talks about how variety of images of violence in movies, television, advertisements, WWF ...etc all play a crucial role in how men try to define themselves. they want to be upheld as this strong controlling person because they feel thats the only way they can get respect be stable in society.

By doing so, they become so caught up in this image and the identity it plays on them they start doing abnormal things. Rapes, Assaults, other forms of violence to others.

  4. I think, the media is cruel and  aick, i also believe they do a lot of good also, for which they are not credited. The global information age, is a great offset to blind  acceptance to the media.  it is now beginning to have an effect.

  5. The popular media has been infiltrated by Soviet Communists for over fifty years.  It works in conjunction with public schools to destroy American traditions and culture for the purpose of weakening the most otherwise powerful country in the world.  The fact that people can take Obama or Hillary seriously as a presidential candidate is pretty strong evidence of the enemy's success.  The survival of Americans depends on those who no longer watch television and are working to expose the enemy.  The unpopular policies of President George W. Bush have done a good thing in flushing out the scoundrels who find confidence in their numbers.
