Hard or easy in comparison to other A-level subjects? Is there much of a difference between GCSE chemistry and A-level chemistry? Would you reccommend it if I got an A* at GCSE level?

  1. Well 'ard

  2. It is supposed to be difficult.. but if you work hard and are interested in it go for it:)

You will deffinately be fine as you had an A* in science well done!:)

  3. Chemistry at Advanced level, I would say, is for those who are interested in the subject, the how and why of what you learned at GCSE. Of course, you've got to understand the stuff you're being taught, so a good grade in GCSE Chemistry is really helpful ;) If you aren't interested in Chemistry though, I would have a think about whether you really want to do Chemistry at A-level, as it's unquestionably harder than any other subject, although Biology is a close second, with a good bit of memory work. In favour of Chemistry however, if you're good at understanding concepts, that's what most of it is.

    Hope this helps ;)

  4. i think it easier than the IB chemistry!
