What do you think of AFL footballer Kouta as a Gladiator?

He is to go under the name of Kouta the Greek God, & wear the Big V, in the coming C7 production of Gladiators.

That show is about as credible as professional wrestling. Anthony Koutoufides should therefore fit in very well because he has always been a bit of a poser.

In fact most AFL footballers are up themselves.

It worked for Mark McGaw the last time Gladiators was on TV.  I guess having an old NRL or AFL player adds to the promotion of the show.

I think they have him wearing the Big V in order to create a rivalry thing amongst viewers.

Someone well known; a Victorian; an AFL footballer; someone with Greek origin.....The rivalry is endless, other football codes; other states; other ethnic groups.

I'm sure they will have the scripts written so that he does not lose too many contests.
