I love the idea! The potential for solar and wind energy alone can solve all our energy needs, we just need to start implementing them on a large scale. The problem is that many people think that it isn't possible, or that "the technology isn't developed enough" but that is untrue. The way I look at it, there is no logical reason not to meet this challenge. The sooner we switch to renewable clean energy, the sooner we will break our dependence on oil, foreign oil to be specific. The barriers to electric and hydrogen fueled cars is that they draw their electricity and manufactured hydrogen from fossil fuel burning. But Powering electric cars from solar/wind energy and making hydrogen fuel from them as well would sever our dependence on gasoline forever. I urge everyone that saw his speech to look further into these clean energies, educate yourself on them and spread the word! We all must work for this change for it to happen, so much depends on it!

  1. Great.

    Why not?

Will have all the horses in town too.

    With the horse-carriages.

Having all the green meadows back in time.

Without being aware of moving backwards in time.

    Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49

    What do you think?

  2. So far the only re-newable anything I have see from Algore, is his total ignorance.

Yes total renewable would be nice would save use money and would be the way to go. BUT the concept has been worked on since 1960's. If we couldn't do it in 40 years What Makes Mr. Gloom and Doom energy hog think we can pull it off in ten?

I realize that Algore is the Captain of the Chicken Little Team, but really, The boy leaves as big a carbon footprint as Tahiti. I wouldn't listen to him if I were You.

  3. First, I would like to see criminal penalties for individuals who violate the "Plan."  I have particular reference to the purchase of carbon footprint exemptions for politician-scientists like Dr. Gore.  Penitentiary time is the only way to assure that the Gore Plan works.  No carbon emission credits.  In reality the plan is so impractical that any non-liberal  idiot would be laughed out of town.

  4. I think Al Gore is in it for himself. If we force all the electrical plants to change in 10 years the cost could cripple them. Also Gore's idea of carbon trading could drive a lot of companies out of business. There are a lot of scientists who disagree with the idea that global warming is man made. I mean, how did all of the previous ice ages end when there weren't machines? Read links.

  5. A good question and I agree 100% I feel sure that one day , in the not too distant future, that we will be able to creat power from sea water which contains both oxygen and hydrogen without using electric power to do it Who would have thought that we could produce so much power from an atom only 65 years ago. Solar, wind and wave power are a fine intermediat way but there will never be enough of either to satisfy the worlds needs

  6. Obviously, someone needs to remind Al Gore that he does not have any position of power to "lay out plans" any longer. Such ideas are pipe dreams. The only way that any of that will ever happen will be if it is profitable to do so. It is profit, not idealism that drives any invention or development. Nothing else creates innovation. Only profit provides the motivation. It's a simple, but inescapble concept .

  7. I think it is about time. We were warned 30 years ago, and President Carter wanted to do something about this. If we can operate a huge space station with solar power, we can operate autos. Wind power and solar is the way to go. Unfortunately I see hard times a coming before it gets better. Money talks, B_llS__T walks. I feel sorry for the younger generations that are inheriting these problems. They are too wrapped up in Miley Cyrus, rap music, fashion trends, that one day they will look around and life as they knew it6 will be gone, and they will no longer be able to cope.

  8. I have no problem with seeking cleaner, renewable sources of energy.  However, his ONLY reason for coming out with this now is to try and head off the current move toward drilling for oil here in the U.S.  There are several Democrats who are already indicating they will sign on to new drilling.

Don't forget, Al Gore has ownership in a company that trades in Carbon Credits.  He talks a good talk about conserving, but he still uses several times the amount of energy that the average person uses.  His "carbon credit" c**p is just a way for him to justify his outlandish waste.

Oh great!  Just what Al Gore needs, a comparison to Jimmy Carter; the worst president since Millard Filmore.

BTW:  Thanks for the laugh Terry!

  9. I think we'll start when he cleans up his act.
