  1. i thought they showed great sportsmanship and brought home the most medals I'm proud of my country

  2. The same thing I though of America before the games...why, what changed?

  3. They are not the best anymore - China is!

Thats why USA cry! (The only good person they had was Phelps)

  4. that they were good but we still had to be in second place

  5. I lost a lot of respect for most of them.

  6. Very proud....

    1) First in overall medals.

    2) Set world records in several sports.

    3) The athletes have showed nothing but class.

    4) We have been able to show the ugly side of jealous foreigners.

    5) Several of our county men/women were deported for trying to help other counties receive better human rights.

    6) We stepped in to help Georgia when everyone was bitching about our country taking home the most medals.

    7) Have been the first to step up and defend smaller counties on the war on terrorism.

    8) People are flocking here to receive and earn a better life for themselves and their families.  Last time I checked, people were not leaving this country...so we must be doing something right.

I guess at this point, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

  7. The boxers didn't perform. China send children into sports boarding schools at an early age, so its no wonder they dominated in a load of events. All and all the Americans did good though.

  8. as proud as ever. we ended up at the top of the medal board as usual

  9. They have shown neither sportsmanship nor goodwill. Nastia Liukin is a perfect example. They have behaved pathetically by accusing fellow competitors of cheating.

The Chinese have as much the right to look young as the Yanks have the right to look old. Their accusations is purely xenophobia and racist!

  10. USA is not number 1 no more.

  11. The same that I thought of them before the Olympic Games.

    They're nice

  12. Couldn't be more proud!!!!

  13. BRAZIL ROCK'S

    GO BRAZIL

  14. I thought it was amazing to see Michael Phelps make his country proud <3 It was awesome altogether though

  15. America is the second best.

  16. OBVIOS

    AMERICA IS DEPENDANT ON CHINA

  17. wow that swimmer dude was amazing ..=D

  18. It was great watching the Americans top the medal chart as usual.  I'm not slamming the other countries, but by having China and Russia with more athletes than the Americans, but coming up short in the medal count, that's pretty disheartening for their national pride when the USA can win more medals with less athletes.

  19. Nothing has changed all countries have one-eyed bigots who can't handle being beaten so i don't think the opinions in these forums is a good judge of character.

  20. US did not lose in this year's Olympics! We have beaten China by 10 non-gold medals. Only wuss cares about gold medals. It's only 15 gold medals that China has won more than the US. Big deal!

Frankly, I couldn't be bothered how the world media and all the other countries rank their medal tables. China can go for its gold all they want, US will focus on the silvers and bronze! It is the total that counts!!!!! Every American knows that!!!!

We would have gotten more gold if the Chinese gymnasts had not cheated. They are 100% underage. Trust us, we are very good at telling someone's age just by looking at them. I mean how else could they have won so many golds, which is unlike Phelps who won so many golds at swimming. Sure, our gymnasts stumbled quite a few times, but it is more important to focus on the issues of cheating. Plus, all the international judges were biased and conspiring against us. It must be they are still holding a grudge against our War in Iraq, lying about WMDs, human right abuse in Guantanamo Bay, water boarding torture, faking of intel documents, blah, blah... Old news.

I guarantee that when the Olympics is held somewhere else other than China, we will 100% win the Woman's Gymnastic Event unless of course UK bribes the judges and causes us to lose again.

  21. It's going to be fun seeing people in other nations bash America. Seems that's all they can do but it's to be expected. If the US had won the most golds, they would just find something else to crow about. Envy is a witch with a B.

The games should be a bit of a wake-up call that American amateur athletes need to step up. Most anyone who is truly good goes pro. Anyone notice the number of NBA players were from other countries. They come to the states to earn money because they can't earn anything back home. Makes it easier to find amateurs in these other countries. There is a downward trend in sports enthusiasm in America. I blame video games. It probably won't come back as people in general have lost interest for sports beyond the classics, American football, baseball and hockey. Finding an amateur in any other sport usually means dragging a college kid in who just thought it would be fun to try out for the team.
