I think its a discrace. if you have the right to vote you neeed to get educated on the politicians and vote.

I agree, if you are of legal age to vote and you don't exercise the right...you have NO right to ***** about the results.

If you are going to voice your opinions about this or that administration, you should educate yourself on the issue and vote on it.

A lot of good people fought and died for what we have today.  It's a dishonor to those people if we don't show up to vote.

Well, if they like the government they're under so much that they don't want to do anything about it, and they're willing to bow to any authority that's picked for them, why not let other people choose who'll be in charge of their country?  I really wish even more people who don't know anything about the people they're voting for would stay the h**l home.

By god, show me someone worth voting for, and I'll vote. Until then, I'll exercise my right NOT TO VOTE for ANYONE who's out to destroy MY country. AND...I have MORE right to complain if I don't vote, because it's people like YOU who put these @sshats in office.

George Carlin was right. Listen to what he says about it. He makes more sense than you people who THINK you're doing the "right" thing by putting IDIOTS in elected positions of power.

If you don't vote, you can't complain very much - you have the franchise and you chose not to exercise it. I always vote - often there is no one or thing I'd like to vote FOR - but there are ALWAYS people or things I want to vote AGAINST!

BTW - you can always chose to vote against BOTH major parties - for instance, this might be an excellent year to vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate for President. Not only is he actually qualified by training and experience to be President, if the Libertarian Party gets 5% of the national vote, there will be THREE parties with federal funding - and think about the message THAT will send to the Democrats and the Republicans that don't seem to be listening to their citizens very much - Hey, you guys! New possibilities in town!

I think most would vote Democrat anyway so it's just as well they don't. Secondly, I think you should have to take a test in order to vote to prove you even know what the heck is going on and aren't basing your decision on how cool someone is and what Jon Stewart said about them last night.

I would rather people who are not educated about candidates not vote. However, I would obviously prefer that they did... after all we have come along way in order to obtain the right to vote.

you can say its a disgrace, but if they dont wanna vote for any of the candidates,, why should they, if you dont agree with a candidates policys,  or you dont belive what they saying or in them, y should you have to vote. The fact that you can vote, means that you have the choice of wether or no to do it.

Plus, the US is a two party system, so its not as if your spoilt for choice.

If they choose not to vote, I support them.  If they just don't bother I am ashamed of them.  If they keep putting people I can not agree with up for office I may join the former. There are very few candidates for public office today that I feel are worthy of the office.  Thats at all levels of government.

I discuss all issues with my wife.  (We use mail in ballots).  Once we are dfone discussing, I let her vote for me.
