Apart from the obvious Christian appeal do you not think also that many South Africans have lost so much faith in the ANC that the only salvation they see for their Country is through God.

Without trying to be funny he had Manchester United as competition but more went to listen to him then went to see Man Utd.

  1. Fine, good, hope and even funny.

    Good day.

  2. Starting with the questioner, some answerers make me laugh. You mean God is now competing with political parties? Did any of you go to the gathering to hear Buchan lamenting South African governance? And if he did, why didn't the government throw him out or jail him as you always give an impression of such government?

You must be knowing better to separate the state and the church. You start mixinf them at your own peril. Politics is not for sisies and there are no holy cows there. So if you want your God to enter that territory, you must not cry foul when he's teared apart.

My God is not a politician and will not participate in this mockery.

  3. I think 70 000 people at R30 a head, turned an neat profit for the potato preacher. They are aiming for 200 000 on his farm next year. Better than any potato yield.

  4. I think its totally awesome!!!

At least somebody is doing something....

    You rule Angus!!!!!!

  5. If there was ever a country that needed to know about G-D then it is SA, If he can soothe the savage beast, then he has my support.

He is a really interesting guy and seems to know what he is talking about, if he is for real then G-D bless him.

  6. Yes Alf I do believe that Zimbabwe and South Africa, along with many countries like them have lost all faith in their government, law and order and justice system! Therefore, our connection with God is stronger because he is the only hope we have left! My Christian faith was far more stronger whilst living in Zim than the UK and I am quite ashamed that I myself don't have as such of a stronger faith than I did.

kfk -  You should think wisely about your answer as you fail to see that there is nothing intelligent about your reply to Alf's question!

  7. Is it possible that some things are not the direct result of the ANC's incompetence.  I mean to blame a political party for good attendance of a Christian gathering!!!!!

What about this:  God works in mysterious ways.  Maybe, just maybe he is using Angus as an instrument to get the people of South Africa closer to him again!

  8. Yeah , i think in the tough times that we are currently experiencing , with limited action from the government , we have to turn to the higher power..

Oh and without trying to be funny , i would definately listen to Angus than watch Man Utd...

  9. The guy sure has charisma, here is a link for anyone who is not familliar with this man.

  10. People need a crutch - he does a good job

  11. I think that far too many people have lost their faith and in turn lost their sense of right and wrong. I am normally weary of Preachers. If this man is capable of withstanding the temptations that his popularity is going to entice him into…..then bring him on and hope for more like him.

KFK: I almost liked your answer...why was it so difficult to leave the filth out.

  12. I think it is fantastic Alf. The only hope for us now is God, all I said when the ANC came into power and afterwards when the AA, BEE, corruption and crime wave started hitting my beautiful country is God help us. Most people turn to God in times of hardship, and this just shows, we are having a hard time here in SA.

  13. Who the h**l is Angus Buchan? Does the government know about this?
