What do you think of Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas?

my friends and I are going there next year for our senior trip and we were wondering if its worth it. If we don't go there, were gonna go to Cancun.

is there alot of places to hang out besides the beach? Is the food good? how expensive is it? I know some of the hotel suite rooms at Atlantis cost up to 25,000.

Atlantis is definitely worth the money. I went last year and loved it.

It is a little expensive, but for all it has to offer, it's worth it.

You can probably get a group deal on a regular room in the Coral or Beach tower. They are way less expensive than the suites. The bridge suite is $25,000 with a minimum 4 night stay. But the othe rooms are pretty reasonable.

There is a theater, a couple of night clubs, several bars, and a lot of shopping inside Atlantis. Outside, there is a little strip mall area that has more shopping and a few more places to eat.

They also have a meal plan that you can buy up front and use it for breakfast and dinner throughout your stay, that saves a ton of money. Dinner for two at the bar ran about $100.  There's also Johnny Rocket's, a pizza place, and a little diner that has good food at a pretty cheap price.

I spent most of my time on the water slides or in the river rapids, both of which are fun. Those and the pools are free if you show your room key and get a wristband.

There's a ferry right outside of Alantis to take you to downtown Nassau. The tour guide on the ferry tells you all about what's going on in town so you can find something to do.

I would definitely spend the extra money to go to Atlantis. It's a great experience.

Atlantis is very expensive but it is absolutey beautiful.  The cost of food and drinks will kill you. There are a lot of things to do......it's a quick bus ride into Nassua where thyey have a large market that sells everything but you will probably just stay at the Atlantis as it is a lot of fun. You will probably see celebrities also.

I think Atlantis is a beautiful place to visit.  If you are wanting to treat yourself to beauty and luxury, it is well worth the price.

Start looking for some packages, they have great deals.

Also the British Coloniel Hilton downtown is very nice and easy access to al the tourist spots.   You have to make it to Senor Frogs, which is right next door.

On Cable Beach there are a few hotles, The Wyndom, Sheraton... both nice hotles and the beach is easy.. lots of sun, but still enough shade not to fry to badly.

Where ever you choose in New Prov or Paradise Island you will indeed enjoy your stay.

Its easy enough to eat less expensive.. there are fast food places, but the native places serve huge amounts of rice and peas to help keep you full, enough for 2 meals.

At Atlantis- Johnny Rocket restaurant; hamburger $7.50, fries $3.50, soda $3.50 they automatically ad a 15% tip for your waiter. That is probably as cheap as it will get on Paradise Island. It is beautiful though.
