I found this bit of stand up from Bill Maher on you tube and i thought it was quite funny and held a bit of truth mixed in with the act.

What do you think?

  1. I think there was not just a bit but quite a bit of truth in the video.  I think that 98% of men viewing that video would agree with most of it.

Most men, fair and decent ones, seriously are in favor of equal pay, equal opportunity, equal across the board.  But I feel the feminist movement has gone to far, has made the mistake of all civil rights movements--reverse discrimination.  They (all) have failed to see the unethical inconsistency of discriminating back at those that discriminated against them.  It is discrimination and prejudice that are wrong--NOT MATTER who does it.

I think it sad, too, that this castrating proclivity in women these days will take decades to cure, if ever, and that therefore male/female relations are doom to a lot of failure (not all of them, of course) now and in the near future.

And, I don't agree that Maher envies his married friends, far from it.

  2. I didn't think it was much about feminism.  While funny, I can't help noticing that none of Bill Maher's married friends are envying him.  Maher's the male equivalent of an old maid, who only wishes he were as p'whipped as his friends.

  3. Nothing, it's his opinion.

  4. This is part of Maher's, a comedian, act, and is very funny.  You should listen him expound on politics sometimes.  He was on Larry King this past week.  Believe me, the man is a strong supporter of feminism and has no use for people who aren't.  I can't wait until his show starts up again.

  5. I love Bill Maher, he's absolutely right as always.

  6. I didn't waste my time with it. I all ready know he is nothing but a stupid sexist idiot. EDIT //////////////// Okay, I decided to watch it. The scary part is, saying one gender is stupid, trying to force them to be sexless, and obedient little mates etc. Is done to women by men more often than vica-versa, but men can only see the harm in it when it's done to them. Projection, I'm afraid.

  7. I posted this a little while back. I thought it was funny as well.

    Most people didn't : [

I think George Carlin's video on feminist is funny too.

I guess some people just can't laugh at themselves.
