What do you think of Bret Favre playing for the Jets?

Umm...I guess another team to root against?

I hate Brett Favre.

In my mind, back in March/April, the guy went out as a winner and a legend. And in a very much Roger-Clemens-like way (minus the cheating), I have lost any and all respect for him in the last month.

And I think the Packers handled the situation well.  Not perfect, but getting rid of this disgrace and distraction as soon as possible, well done by Mr. Mike McCarthy and his team.

EDIT: Oh and to the Packer fan beneath me...guess what, it's NOT over with.  It's only over with once the Mega Sports Media Giant, AKA ESPN, says that it is over with.

Good riddance. I heard his whole crying spew about how he wanted to retire and was going to miss playing football and than he comes back so late and expects GB to dump rodgers as head QB. There is no doubt he is a heck of a QB, but i am just glad its all over with.

First off, I'm not a Packer fan, but living in the belly of the beast I can't turn around without hearing about it.

That being said, a comment I read summed it up pretty good.  If this was anyone else but Favre, the fans, media, and the league would have put an end to this a long time ago.  I've heard less whining and complaining from my 5 year old.  The way I heard McCarthy's comments is this..."Brett's a baby, we are sick of it, we are not going to take it any longer, so he's not here anymore."

I hope he doesn't like the trade and "retires" again.  That will be the end of it.  I don't know Rodger Godell very well, but I am willing to bet that he will never reinstate Favre again.  He will not let himself be embarrassed again.

One last thing.  For all of those classless people who were heckling and booing Rodgers at practice, get a life.  Rodgers has handled this with as much class and dignity as anyone can in his situation.  If that is how you are going to treat someone who is supposed to lead your team, you may want to swich teams because the Packers don't need you.

he's going to regret coming back to play cause he's gonna get his *** kicked.  the jets are gonna have 4 rookies on their o-line.  he'll probably break another record though, that's most sacks.  that's right he'll get sacked more than david carr did with Houston.

I don't know if I will be able to get use to him playing in New York. This country dude whos played for 16 season in the NFC to go to the JETs in the AFC is some what hard to accept. Ether way, ya have to move on and wish him luck. But I don't think him being there is a ticket for the JETS in the playoffs. I just don't see them even getting the wild card. The AFC is different then what Favre knows.

he's now Mark Messier before 1994... he's Keith Hernandez/Gary Carter before 1986.. heck, he's Placido Burress before 2008... all rolled into one SUPERSTAR, HALL of FAMER... and I can't believe Green Bay was this stupid.

Say hello to a Super Bowl and RATING$$ for NE vs. NY Jets x 2 (maybe 3x a year) for the next 2-3 years. Amazing.

But, the Jets now need to get him some WRs!!!

i am a jets fan and we need this bad. chad pennington sucks more at qb then my girl dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

and no micheal vick she will not figh your dog.so i think the jets will at least go 7-9 if not higher.
