  1. Too soon and too close to Bush.  The Bush White House lost a lot of credibility with the Wolfie debacle.  It would be a brave, bold and wise move for them to look at someone who wasn't particularly American but it's not Tony Blair right now.  It would look like Bush was getting his buddy a job.


  2. I'm afraid one of the chief requisites of the position is credibility.

  3. He is a good guy that just took the wrong decision to go to war. He is paying the price. I don't know his background in finance but I rather see at the head of the world bank someone that's not a "personal" friend of Bush.
