What do you think of Casey Blake going to the Dodgers.?

am a Dodgers fan so am glad we needed a third baseman.

you gave up to much for Blake who is only going to be a Dodger for a half year. You gave up a good catching prospect in Santana who has a .323 BA 14 homers and 96 RBI's...and the pitcher you gave up is flat out nasty and is projected as a setup or closer and he also has a career K/BB rate of 335 K's over 262 innings in the minors which is completely filthy...all for a 34 year old Casey Blake who is a stop gap until LaRoche and DeWitt take over full time duty next year. Casey Blake is a consistent hitter and could possibly lead your team to the postseason..but at the price makes me wonder if it was worth it.

I don't like it.  But I do like LaRoche.  I still think that as our 3rd best player right now we should have kept him.  Plus, he is a really nice guy.  We took your top prospect (I think)!

As an Indians fan, I have to say that it was a good trade for both clubs and I heard that Shapiro will try to resign Blake when he becomes a free agent. I wish Casey all the best - he really is a team player and fan friendly.

Great Move for the Dodgers.

Blake's a great utility guy. Good Offense player. Will help the Dodgers scoring woes.

Plus, he can fill the 3rd base slot while Garciaparra plays shortstop.
