  1. Personally as an American I would be perfectly fine if we didn't have to be the superpower anymore.  Its a lot of pressure.  They can be the superpower.

  2. So far, only in the women's gymnastics.  I did think there was some bias in the scores... and they cheated with the underage girls.  But I was starting to wonder if there was some intimation or bribery. ...

The diving is great and has been for years. They were amazing and China won and deserved their medals in that sport.

  3. Nah. When your own your home grounds you always have an advantage.

  4. Why would it be suspicious? The judges for the gymnastics come from neither the United States or China and are each from a different country. I think the simple fact is that China was better than the United States in these events. Likewise, the US totally owns China in events like Track and Field and Swimming.

Just because a country is doing well does not mean that they cheat. In that case, America's success in all previous Olympics are suspicious as well.

  5. I watched an hbo special and the kids go to school to train for the olympics from the time that they're really young. They are way more dedicated than we are.

  6. The judges are probably a bit biased and/or because they are on their home turf, they have a lot of support.

  7. no. obviously they dont want to look bad in their country and they have trained a h**l of a lot to be winning so much.

  8. OMG WOW... what sore losers...

did you even WATCH the gymnastics routines?

    china's was flawless!

and each of the USA girls got point deductions cause they MESSED up.

people are alll over the fact that they look young. when you tihnk of it THAT way a "12" year old creamed your "18" year olds ***

Just get over the fact that they're better than you and stop whining!

  9. Alright, I don't care what their passports say, that one girl in China's Women's Gymnastics team is NOT 16 years old. No way.

In terms of "cheating" though, I think the only cheating China has done is pressuring its athletes to succeed at all costs. They're showing themselves off to the entire world. You saw the Opening Ceremony right? And the architectural structures like the Water Cube? They're trying to prove their might to the rest of the world, athletically, aesthetically, culturally, and otherwise.

  10. they are doing really well right now but by the time track and field starts they wont stand a chance

they have one good hurdler and thats it, and he is very beatable take it from someone who knows track

  11. idk but to me it seems like they cheated a lot like on the womens gymnastics they looked like they were 10 or 12  i think U.S.A should have got gold for gymnastics, but usa messed up a lil bit

  12. I love how once another country starts doing better, suspicion soon arises.

They train all the time, so it's not surprising that they'd be extremely good at what they do. It's expected.

  13. i think they want to take over the world!!!!!

and we are going to have a war with them

    soon.

  14. First off... the olympic committee did a horrible job of picking a place this year... China.. BAD BAD BAD place to have it.. With everything going on in that country.. I believe that some of it is rigged. No doubt. The scores aren't adding up, judges are poorly scoring, and a murder of an american. it is suspicious.. they are winning stuff they never won before, But you have to remember that they had four years to improve.. AND it is in there home town... who doesn't want to give there best in their home town?
