  1. It depends on the age of the kids and if they love princesses.  Now with the big price hike that becomes an even bigger factor.  The last time we did it they were just trying to get people through the photos with Cinderella, and our food was on the table before it was time for our picture, so I hope they've got the timing better.  The food was pretty good, and the interaction with the characters was good.  It's fun to eat in the castle, but now my daughter isn't into princesses it would be a huge waste of money.  If it's all about princesses for your group, then it's great.  I wouldn't say that it will make or break a trip, though.  There are other places to eat with the princesses or meet princesses.  If you're put off by the price or the olympic phone competition to get a reservation, then meet Ariel in her Grotto, go to Belle's storytime, and go to Mickey's Toontown to meet other princesses.  You could always dine with princesses at Akershus or send your daughter to one of the Bibbidy Bobbidy Salons.  If your heart is really set on the castle, then try to get a ressie, but go to atomictime.net and make some practice calls to get your clocks in sync with Disney before you start making real calls.  Then you'll need to start dialing a few minutes before they actually open (3-5) to see if they are opening earlier than they say and to get a jump on the crowd.  Even with all that, and calling on exactly 180 days in advance of when you want to go, you might not get in.  They book in just a few minutes of opening.

I like it well enough that if it fits in the budget easily enough and you have kids who love princesses, I say go for it.

  2. i ate there for breakfast, and they have the awesomest food i've ever eaten at disney. The girls get a fairy wand and the boys get a sword. The princess come around to every table for autographs and pictures and they get a special wish star. It lights up and they get to make a wish on it. Kids are sure to love it. my cousin still loves it, she's 11. Even if you dont want to see the characters, it's just something you have to do once.

  3. YES! I loved it! The food was great and it was really neat inside. We did the lunch and got pictures with Mary Poppins, Cinderella,(at the beginning) and alot of other princesses. The waiters are very nice. They call you princess and stuff(:

  4. if you have young kids then most definitely! they sing and dance and make them feel special, get to take your picture with cinderella..

as for the food, it is decent, but is not cheap, and if you have the dining plan, it will cost 2 table service meals.

    Have fun!

  6. In general:

Atmosphere?  Top Notch!  Food - Average.

If your child(ren) is/are into princesses, its a must do almost  It's a great special treat for a bday, they make a big deal of it.

    A couple of notes:

1>  The princesses are only present for Breakfast and Lunch.  Dinner is the fairy godmother only and she only does a little performance.

2>  Cinderella is only in the waiting room.  You will get a photo with her, included in price.  At dinner, you get a print instead.  The other Disney princesses circulate during Breakfast and Lunch in the dining room (and the odd prince).

3>  One of the best things to do is book a pre-park opening time.  You can get in early and get GREAT pictures of the castle as you approach.

If you want reservations for breakfast, be on the phone 180 days before your date at 7 AM EST.  Cindy's books FAST (usually within 5 mins).

  7. When I went for dinner I was about 10 and I hated it. The food was good but wasn't good for children the show by the Fairy Godmother and the mice was cool but for the price and time spent it isn't worth it!!!!!

  8. It is a great place, and as you have been told it is expensive and takes two  table meals for the dinning plan.  You are required to leave a credit card number for charges if you do not cancel ahead of time.  All this aside it is a great memory for young children.  You can also dine with the princesses in Epcot at Akarus and at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian both of these are much less expensive.
