  1. Perhaps the first time a member of the Tory party could be said to be standing by his principles and not on self interest like the rest of them.

  2. not a lot.  He's resigned to stand again in his safe Tory constituency.  What does that prove???  Absolutely nothing

  3. Idiot.

  4. Why did he resign? Haven't heard that.

  5. On because of rumors

  6. I think he`s made a very wrong move, if he felt so passionate about 42 days terror laws then why did he have to quit, he had a powerfull job awaiting him in 2 years time, wouldn`t it have been better if he had have stayed to challange the government he`s playing a dirty game its a stunt, most like minded people over 65 percent of britain backed the new laws for our safety

  7. publicity stunt

  8. David Who?

  9. i think hes great hes right. DOWN WITH THE NEW WORLD ORDER!

  10. I honestly can't see the point.  If he had resigned from his Conservative safe seat to stand in a marginal seat I could understand it, but to resign and force a by election in his own safe seat is utterly pointless.  Yes, I'm afraid it is just a publicity stunt

  11. David Davis is one of the very few MPs whom I have any respect for but I really don't know what to think about this.  This rotten, corrupt House of Commons needs people like David Davis and I really don't see what he can achieve by this action.  I certainly don't think triggering a by election is the answer.
