What do you think of East London, UK?

Do you think its a good or bad place?

would you live in east london and where?

I live in Hackney East London they call my road murder mile but im alive lol. We get a bad name but its a nice place here in Hackney just dont stand in the same spot for 24 hours showing all your belongings.

Many developments are going on and the say the city is moving East so shame to all those people who said East London is a shiithole in 10 years time it will be where everyone wants to live right forget west.

Olympics, Canary wharf, Stratford city, Eurostar, Thames gateway I hope it makes my area posh.

Anybody else live in East London loving life?

By the way South of the river is c**p anyone agree?

I think its on the up. I wouldn't walk home from the station on my own at night though, always got a friend to pick me up!! There are some great places to go. Spitalfields, Columbia Rd, Broadway market. I lived in Bow for a short time but have now moved back to Hertfordshire. I feel much safer where I am now!!

I worked in Hackney & I live down the road from it, it's like the place I live there are some amazing, beautiful parts like the area around Victoria Park, bits of Stoke Newington right up against some really sh*tty bits like the tower blocks but even in the streets around them there are some great houses (which no one can afford now).

East London is not somewhere i would live,

I've never been there :) I don't listen to what the media say about areas until i've been there and seen for myself lol

Full of chavs (rough necks) in some pockets.  Other places are quite nice.  There is a lot more crime in this section though.  It really depends on what part of East London.  London is a big place.  I think London itself is a pretty classy place to live (if I wanted to live in a big city here in the UK, London would be it).  Housing prices aren't there aren't that bad, really.

I was born in Hackney in 1969 and like the rest of London it has now turned into  the Ar$hole of Europe

@ pleasant peter- i went to uni in chatham, medway lol. i wouldn't call it a craphole but it was def a boring place for me!

It's not somewhere i would choose to live, and I live in a c**p hole called Medway!!!!!

I have a real problem with cockney accents...I can't stand them.  Watching Eastenders would be a torture for me, let alone living there!
