  1. I found this:

19 Apr 2001: Tikka Masala our national dish?

In Robin Cook's speech to the Social Market Foundation in London, he says, "Chicken Tikka Masala is now a true British national dish, not only because it is the most popular, but because it is a perfect illustration of the way Britain absorbs and adapts external influences. Chicken Tikka is an Indian dish. The Masala sauce was added to satisfy the desire of British people to have their meat served in gravy."

Well being Indian, I love it!!

  2. It's okay, I like other Indian foods better. I heard that Chicken Tikka Masala was actually invented in England, not India. That's kinda cool.

  3. yes it is england's national dish..i've heard it tastes better in england then actually in india....even though it contains all the spices from india...isn't that funny..england is like mini-india

  4. That's really the English national dish? I'd have thought it would be Fish and Chips, or Bangers and Mash or Cornish Pasties. You learn something new everyday.
