He defended Angel Matos, the Cuban athlete that kicked the referee in the face by saying:

"I saw when the judges blatantly stole fights from two Cuban boxers in the semifinals,"

"Our fighters ... had hopes of winning, despite the judges, but it was useless. They were condemned beforehand."

"Cuba has never bought an athlete or judge," Castro wrote, adding that Cubans need to begin preparing now for London in 2012.

"There will be European chauvinism, judge corruption, buying of brawn and brains ... and a strong dose of racism," he predicted.

  1. I completely disagree to what he said.  A good leader will protect their people if they're right, and discipline them if they're wrong.  Obviously he is setting a really bad example to the Cuban people.  Such pity.

  2. He must be too old and delirious.

There is NO WAY in any kind of competition the judge should fear for their own safety based their judgment...

One can lodge a complain immediately, but still, one must accept the decision.

If the athlete can't accept the judge decision's final, then don't take part

  3. BS

Cuba definitely bought referee for baseball game of South Korea vs Cuba

referee gave 8 balls straight and gave 3 strikes straight after korean catcher complained

  4. I really don't think about them at all.  He's near death, probably suffering some senility, and thinks entirely too highly of himself.

    The comments should be ignored.

  5. I have no regard for anything that babbling fool says.  Die already!
