What do you think of Florida this year?

My gators look like they have a chance i think our offense is better this year, and our defense is about the same....last year we had a few things that didnt go our way and finished with 3 losses in regular season play....this year Tim Tebow has more weapons and another year of experience....i say that if we arent as unlucky as we were last year we can most definitely win the SEC over georgia....they havent beaten us twice in a row since i was like 5...what do you guys think?....give me honest opinions people....not biased personal hatred....

Florida's defense is very dubious - especially the defensive backs because they're so young and depth is a serious issue.  Depth is actually becoming a serious issue at all positions because of injury.  I think there have been 5 serious knee injuries.  Losing Cornelius Ingram is a major problem.  The offensive line will be solid and there is good depth at running back and QB with Chris Rainey, Emmanual Moody, and that Brantley kid.

I think that if Florida is healthy they can beat Georgia.  The problem game is going to Tennessee - especially if Florida struggles or under achieves against Miami.  I predict 2 or 3 losses but hopefully nothing as embarrassing as the Auburn game last year.

If Florida can win 2 out of 3 against the Volunteers, Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs they get through with one loss.  However, I believe that Florida will lose two of those 3 games and maybe all three.  Their defense is still a huge issue.

i'm telling people, this is what i've been saying all along. FLORIDA WILL WIN THE SEC. 70-80% of their team was freshman or sophmore last year. just think of all that talent that is one year better. also are new rb will take so much pressure off of percy and tebow. Tim Tebow WILL REPEAT as heisman winner, I am GUARANTEEING it.

I think they are going to have a rough time of it (I HOPE), and that's mainly because they are in the SEC. Which I believe to be the pest football played anywhere in the country. I believe georgia is fired up enough to get it done, and I hope that Auburn has pulled their heads out of their *** so that they can have the kind of season that their talent says they should have.

OK... so we dont have to play Auburn - which is just a head game we always seem to lose anyway, so that's a plus.  And all but 1 really important offensive player is coming back, and that's a good thing.  HOPEFULLY they spent a large part of off-season working on defense because Lord knows we didnt have one last year.  Only loss I can see is MAYBE LSU, but they dont have anything this year either, so I say at least 11-1!  Love my gators and can't wait!

Among the elite teams in the SEC unfortunately your Gators dont fair well. Teams such as Georgia, Tenn,LSU, Aurburn and Miss St had better rated defense than your Gators.

And what really sucks for the Gators, You have Tenn on the road after

a tough state rival match Miami, a team that its def is far superior than

Florida, then following week Mississippi fortunately its at home.

That Tenn game watch out for that game. Then you go against Georgia

at Georgia, the team that is stacked on both sides of the ball.

Your threats this come from the 3 teams that are defensively stronger

than your Gators. Offensively only Georgia previals in that catagory.

I see 2 losses for this year sorry. Georgia is too stacked up, although

they lose some games too, and I believe Tenn will shock you this year

they have a chip on thier shoulder.

2nd place behind Georgia with 2 losses but tie goes to Georgia.

If Florida makes it through the year undefeated I will be very impressed but I just don't think it will happen when you face Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia any of those teams could beat them if they aren't at the top of their game personally I agree with the person who said Florida would go 11-1 with the one loss to Georgia

you'll see them in a BCS bowl game but it won't be the National Championship

I think the defense should be much improved this year.  The Gators will be a force to be reconed with.  I don't think you will see so many 4th down conversions since the defense has some experience and a much improved D-line coach.  They have a very good chance at winning the SEC and moving on to the BCS NC game.

Eh. It depends on how a lot of things fall. While he is a special talent, Tebow is nowhere near as good as advertised or as his numbers indicate. If Percy Harvin ever gets as winded as he did for the LSU game (Florida scored 0 points in the 4th and blew their 10 pt lead), the team has 0 offense. RBs are hardly upgraded at all.

Florida's defense hasn't changed much, which spells disaster for a team that finished last in the conference in passing yards. If I recall correctly, Florida also has some key injuries that could further hamper the team. I see a 9-3 season and 2nd place in the East behind Tennessee. Georgia's nowhere near as good as everyone expects them to be.
