  1. Great people. Terrific Country

  2. It is my absolute favorite country and I pretty much love every German I have ever met. The day my student exchange ended was actually one of the worst days I've ever had because I was leaving something that I loved so much. I also love it because now my german kicks ***!

  3. I'm an American living in Germany for the third time.

Germans are very orderly.  It's almost a sin not to make your bed each day or not to rake the mud in your garden.  The government is s-l-o-w to do anything, and no one will help you if it's not specifically written in their job description.  Occasionally someone will tell you who *might* be able to help, but you really have to pressure them even for such a little thing.  I can't keep track of how many times I've had to wait on Germans who were LATE!  Trains too!  The "quiet time" is a joke.  Everyone thinks their neighbors should be quiet but that they should be able to do whatever the heck they want.  For example:  our neighbor who had a party all day Sunday till 11 pm with music blaring and then reported his neighbor the next day for mowing his lawn at 12.30 in the afternoon.  Hypocrits.  There are actually very few stretches of the autobahn that have no speed limit for any significant length.  Most have so much construction, so many traffic jams or "dangerous" curves that the limit is reduced to 60 MPH or less.  The health care system IS better but only because your income tax can be up to 48% and goes to pay for it or to pay for the incredible number of unemployeed or the payment each family receives for each kid.  Uh, I don't want to pay for your kids, jerk.  The neighbors are really friendly to each other, ie to the people they grew up with.  Outsiders, like me, are basically ignored after the initial curiosity questions are answered.

Pluses:  The beer is great.  The food quality is good, but it needs more spices.  It's close to lots of other countries.

  4. nice place to be and nice ppl to meet

  5. I think that Germany is a beaurtiful, interesting country with a lot of history from ancient times (Romans) to today, which is fascinating.

Germans are warm people, very nice and helpful.  They vary as all people do.

I hope to be able to spend some time living in Germany in my life, and am studying the language.

  6. I love Germany it a very pretty place and the people are great.

  7. I absolutely love Germany. It is just amazing! I love the country, the language and the people. Most germans are sooo nice and i don't really agree with all the prejudices they have against germans because of the n***s.

  8. ive been livin in germany for dont know how long but i couldnt get used to it yet, some germans are unbareable some are nice, i dont really like german landscapes(livin in southern germany) northern germany is beautiful, the ppl are much cooler there...

  9. Hey! I am German living in the USA for three years now. I am so d**n proud to be German. I guess we germans have more order in our lifes. We are on time, have Quiet Times for example at Noon), we enjoy our Sunday's which means it is Relaxing and Family Day No Work, our Supermarkets are only open monday through Saturday until 8pm, you are full of age with 18 years, we can drink beer and wine with 16, the nightlife is open until the last customer leaves which can range from 3am to 7am, most Autobahn's have no Speed Limit, we get 4 to 8 weeks vacation, we have an hour lunch break, the health care system is better than in America, invented BMW and Volkswagen for example, we know our neighbors - we hang out out with them a lot, our national sport is Soccer which is the world's most popular sport, we learn english in school - i even heard they start it in kindergarten now - it is a subject you have to take  so a lot of germans the younger generation can speak english very well, food is healthier - it already taste like organic food and is way cheaper than here in america, the Euro is very strong.   I can't think of anything else right now, but i will edit it if i remember more. Sorry about the bad english grammar but i am german. I love Germany, but as a Nurse I make mor money here in the States, but I will move back home in like 2 or 3 years. Life is totally different there - and I also think that the people are nicer there. Hope I could help you a bit!
