  1. She's the female equivolent to Dan Quayle

  2. I'm a Liberal and I do have an opinion on this.

I was surprised that McCain picked her instead of someone like Christine Todd Whitman, Elisabeth Dole,  Carly Fiorina, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson or a host of other qualified Con politicians.

It seems like he picked her for youth alone. I'm surprised because he's the person going on about "experience"

  3. I would just like to inquire on why you think it's a great pick.  What stances has she taken on the major issues that entice you?  She may be a fine person and politician...but she hasn't even stated one thing she stands for.  Don't you think this glorification of a VP is a bit premature?

  4. She slants towards a base of the Republican party that already had no where else to go.

So shes not a great help to him, her more right wing appeal isn't going to play to the majority of independents and possible crossover Democrats.  She brings no stellar national or international knowledge.

If the only thing she has that's appealing to voters is that shes pretty, and a good mother, I'm just not sure that's enough to warrant her being the possible next president. And with the McCain being seventy-two, that's more than the usual idle thought.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson would have had more gravitas, and still been female if that's what he was looking for, even Rice if she would have accepted, but this one came out of left, make that right, field.

  5. McCain isn't happy Karl Rove picked her.

    He wanted Lieberman.

  6. She's a great choice for McCain, his exact opposite, and everything he's bashed Barack for being.  She's young and inexperienced, he can't complain about that anymore now, can he?  Oh, and I am educated enough to know that this warrants knowing, she's being investigated for firing the Alaskan Public Safety Commissioner.

Hmmm, sound educated enough for you?

  7. a V.P. has to exhibit leadership qualities necessary to be the President.  Do you really think Palin has those kind of leadership qualities?

  8. I think so to.  Margerat Thatcher's only experiance was being secretary of education or something like that, but she had proven herself to be principled and established.  Ronald Reagan was ready to be Governer with no experiance.  Whe has fought and won her battles and stood on principles.

  9. McCain acted very smart by Not picking Romney or Huckabee.

  10. I think it was a good pick. A woman on the ticket and she has more executive experience than Obama.

The Republican ticket has the guy with the most exeprience at the top and the Dems most experienced guy is #2.

  11. Can any democrat tell me what Obama has led? Has he led a state?

Has he led a city? Has he led a business? He is barely a Senator!! He has led absolutely nothing!!  What  in the h**l qualifies him to be President?  I would argue the same if he was picked as Vice President!!!!

    Unbelievable.......

  12. im a republican but i have not heard much about her,  it might be a good thing since obama, biden, and mccain are all washington insiders

Does anyone know where she stands on illegal immigration?

its a hot button issue for me, i live in Cali so u can understand why,  i just want the borders secured and immigration laws enforced, and NO AMNESTY

but i guess its a good choice for mccain because maybe he can win alot of the clinton supporters who are wavering on whether or not to vote for obama
