What do you think of Immaculate Conception High School?

Question

Just asking, id love your opinion on the school prestige, the students behaviours and what type of girls do you associate with the this Jamaican High school. No BS please, i want crude, straight honesty!

The education is good.

The girls at ICHS are WAY too sheltered in general. A huge chunk of them have parents who send them there to keep them 'focussed and away from boys'. As a result, the girls are not as well adjusted when they have to deal with the opposite s*x. examples?

A. Some might literally be deliberately promiscuous, trying to overcompensate for conservative values presented at home.

B. Some are just clueless (don't intend to be promiscious) and become vulnerable and easily tricked by the first few men they meet.

C. Some are materialistic, or hold 'soap-opera' attitudes to men and relationships.

D. Some actually remain sheltered ALL THE WAY through school and graduate before they begin to adjust to the concept of males around them.

Basically issues to do with sexuality are MUCH more pronounced at Immaculate. Its "far uptown" geography makes its isolation even more pronounced. Schools such as St. Andrew High school for girls have less of a problem because the school is SMACK in the middle of Half Way Tree...VERY exposed.

i can honestly say that immaculate is not the immaculate that many people once knew. not to say they were perfect before but they have definitely gotten worse in terms of behaviour. There are girls there that are nice and well behaved but unfortunately they are overshadowed by the others who arent. Alot of them feel as if they are "the world" because they go to the school.  i dont see much "in between" girls. ie not too stuck up and not too vulgar but just "in between".

The teaching is good though but from speaking with some of the girls there what they are doing in school is not necessarily what they want to do but do it because they can pass it and want to be a a certain level though they wouldnt think of getting a job in that profession! who knows they may change their mind later on and be grateful for it!

I do agree that many of them are really sheltered or so they seem! There are some who dont go anywhere and just study and then when they get to go out when older they cant handle it and then end up scaring theyre whole reputation.

Then there are the others who go anywhere whereever whenever regardless of age and not even parents can handle them! once again not much "in-between". to me it seems that some parents forget that they are parents and believe because their chile goes to the school then they are complete angels and also dont need to worry about them or to discipline them any at all. Them going to Immaculate makes everything so much better!

The girls that come downtown and crossroads r the worst behaving set of girls ever and i dont lik the filter thing.Everyone always talks about immaculate this and immacuale that and they r nowhere near the best .The sketel behaviour and the boasting .I hate the girls that I see.I am not sYing everybody is bad .I am just saying the ones in half way tree crossroads and down town give y'all a bad reputation

I have stayed at ICHS in Constant Springs several times. I know several of the teachers.  I think they are excellent and the school curriculum is very good.

i personally have nothing against the skool but the girls that attend there r  just extreemes. either them rich and stuk up/whores or them butu/brawling. their behaviour really upsets my stomach. the ones from the upper class go to parties non stop and being promiscuous  and others just have no manners or decency about them, in public especially at bus stops and in stores while in their uniform they are boisterous and loud. dont get me wrong they are very smart in terms of their school work as they do get high grades but their deportment is horrible. cnt forget that girl who spat in the teachers drink or one of our first teen p**n stars paula! came from immaculate. its really ironic how they are supposed to be "imaculate'" clean and pure but their not mayb its a rebellious thing who knows.
