  4. quite alright, wild country, like the nature and history, the past...

    beer and pubs are fine.

  5. I am 'in love' with Ireland!  Have never been there.  Have seen a tremendous amount of photos, videos and have read many books about the countryside, the people and the traditions and lore.  Think my ship will never come in (it must have sunk) so I will never be able to afford to travel from America to Ireland - and that's just plain sad.  I am so envious of you living in Ireland!

  6. Well i have never been to ireland.. But i have always wanted to, it the one thing a plan on doing before i die ^^

  7. Its the home of one of my best mates, and my ancestors...love Irish stew

  8. I love Ireland for many reasons. The people are so lovely, friendly, helpful, and courteous. I have twice visited there by flying in and renting a car. The first time we drove up the west coast a bit to Galway, then back to Kerry. We took our time and visited along the way. I just love County Claire. The second trip was ten years later. In the meantime Ireland had joined EU, gotten some long term loans and improved the highways and ferries. I was greatly impressed by the great advancement of the nation. The only thing on the down side was I couldn't feel like I was in a foreign country - everyone was like us. Except for the lovely Irish speech - I love to listen to the lilt of the Irish. I even learned to speak a little Gaelic.

    Chief

  9. I think of the green grass..pubs everywhere...and men out late fighting after they had too many pints...people happy, and smiling, gossipy lady folk talking about the lady down the lane who has too many male visitors...

children playing in the streets with dirty faces...kicking a ball...

yelling at one another...houses very close together...

hey sounds like a great place!!!

  10. I love my country. Im from Co. Meath. but now i live in the states and i go home all the time. Theres something about the countryside that takes ur breath away. and all the pubs in every corner.

  19. I've been to Ireland twice and I think it's one of the most beautiful countries I've ever been to. Dublin is also a really fun city. Loved it. Great country.

  20. It is a land with much natural beauty. The people are very hospitable and they love to get together and enjoy their time of singing together. The food in Ireland is excellent and there tends to be less pollution there. The most unfortunate thing about Ireland is the nonsense between the North and the South. Both worship the same God yet they have some differences which tend to cause them to fight about them. If they would just accept each others differences and get on with what life has to offer all would benefit and God would be pleased. To end on a good note it's a beautiful country with a huge welcome mat for visitors.

  21. I love beer.
