  1. kingxxcr

dont hate because we are not b******s as most christians are

  2. That people are seriously dumb if they believe anything they see on TV to be real about Islam. To put it mildly, if this is a world power set on domination, like some think. Then racial profiling and 'family values' won't save anyone. It is just more fodder propegated by the gov't to distract people in my opinion.

  3. if Islam is terrorism , i don't know what we can call the killing of more than 20 million native Americans to build the USA

or the natives in Australia , South America and Newzeland .

the treatment of the black people.

or the killing of more than million till now beside destroying the whole country  in Iraq to steal the oil .

    the killing in Afghanistan

or the killing of millions when the UK , France , Italy and Holland occupied the countries of Asia and Africa and stole their fortunes , leaving the countries poor and destroyed.

    the list is long

    --------------------------------------...

this is for those who said that the Quran cant be the word of god .

these are the words of a preacher , also a son of a preacher , they both entered Islam along with their priest friend.

so I'm sure no one would know better than him about the bible and Christianity.

    Final comment from Yusuf Estes:

I would like to state that after years of studying the Bible and then learning the Arabic language to read the Quran as it was originally recited to Muhammad, peace be upon him, by the angel Gabriel, I have come to an amazing conclusion. It seems to me that the Bible and the Quran are most definitely from the exact same source and they compliment each other very nicely. In fact, it appears that the Bible does not contradict the Quran, except in the very same places where the Bible contradicts itself.

  4. True Islam is a religion of peace. Unfortunatley, the koran has been interpreted in a different manner by the extremests, and that is why it is as messed up as it is today.

Did you know, that the koran states that men and women are equal?

  5. I've read Al-Qu'ran four times in four different English interpretations.

There was no truth in it.

Further, far from claims it's a religion of love and acceptance, its own holy text contains a great deal of hate and violence and intolerance.

  6. I think all religions are a waste of time and have destructive despicable components to them.  But this is not a slur against god, as there there is no god.  It is a slur against the men that created all this nonsense.

  7. First of all, I don't hate Islam.

Now that we have that out of the way, it's one more silly religion. The only difference is that they REALLY believe in God. And by the emphasis on really what I mean is that Christians kinda have this thing we're they're like "I believe in God but not religion" as a way t o get out of all of those pesky little "rules" they forget the bible wants them to follow. But, yeah, people are ignorant. Forget about it. You're getting nowhere. Especially in the religion and spirituality section, ironically.

  8. I know several nice muslims. I consider Islam to be a valid path to enlightenment when followed in the highest form. However, much of what the under-educated muslims that practice terrorism and hatred of women in the middle-east learn is the interpretation given by an Imam with an agenda, not truths for all.

  9. This discussion is not allowed by the report monkeys on Y!A. Any answer here that shows Islam in a less than perfect light is reported and deleted.

  10. The only problem I have with Islam is that aside form possibly Turkey, it does not successfully coexist with democracy.

  11. I was reported last time I honestly answered a question very similar to this one so I'm going to pass.

  12. It's crazy because I had a muslim roomate for awhile. Umm, I don't realy hate islam but after living with my roomate for a few months I realized I realy don't care much for it. I've alway's been a realy oopen person to that sort of thing and i've always thought there were alot of similarities to other religions. And I'm defintly all for the love and respect for every1 but after living w/ her...AI dunno, It kinda changed my mind a little. The biggest problems were rules that she enforced big time...like no boys in the house w/o consent of others, but we had other issues too. I think for the most part we worked them out but I'm wondering "if muslims are suppose to love and respect everyone no matter what, than why did we have clashes like the kind we did...most of them wich were started by her" ...I guess it was just a clash of cultures..

of course that's just MY opinion on ONE muslim...there are lots of other muslims I haven't met yet so my opinion on muslims has been formed bases on one muslim and one muslim alone

as for most peoples responses to muslims though, I think i can explain that...alot of people are afraid of the unknown and they hate what they arre afraid of (think about one of your worst fears and how you feel about it...) So, anyway, alot of people hate Islam becasue they are uneducated about it and they don't understand it, hence they are scared. And the fact that a few terrorist groups are islam routed dosen't help...it just makes them more afraid. The only way to change peoples opinions is to educate them about islam, but they can only become educated if tehy want...the best solution would probably be to start such education early w/ children because children are alot more open..

I dunno, sorry about all that rambling, and hopefully you can make some sense of it.

    Hope this helps :)

  13. Islam is a peaceful religion based on the same idea as Christianity and Judaism.  Thats right, Christians and Muslims are more similar than you'd think.

    Islam is a)

    -Peaceful Religion

-A relgion that places far more emphasis on helping the poor than Christianity

    -Encourages education

    -Is misinterpreted by hardliners

    -Is misunderstood by the ignorant

-to thank for most advances in Western Civilization

In the 16th century, Islamic doctors were far more tolerant and progressive than their Christian counterparts.

Islam is having the same bad press that Catholocism got in the 16th century.

    And I'm Christian.

  14. Well, they still haven't killed as many people

as the Christians... although they appear to

    be trying to catch up.

  15. I don't have a problem with Muslims any more than anyone else.

However, if a Muslim is running at me with a bomb under his coat, I'm going to drop him as fast as I would drop anyone else running at me with a bomb under their coat. I'm not going to make excuses for him because of his religion.

People say Islam is a peaceful religion. They're half right. A lot of Muslims are peaceful. But the Koran does clearly command violence against infidels who refuse to convert. You can't get around that. It's there in plain text.

I don't have a problem with peaceful Muslims, but at the same time you have to know that their text orders their members to fight and kill infidels, and promises rewards to those that die in jihad, or holy war.

  16. It is just another dumb religion with extremists.

  17. Personally I admire the devotion adherents to Islam show, but am neutral to the religion itself. I think it, like Christianity and most other religions, has good points and bad points.

  18. I don't agree with it's doctrine, but all the Muslims I've met are nice.  I respect their beliefs, and hope they do the same to me.

  19. I think it's a very dangerous religion, especially for women. The book called "Because They Hate" is a good warning to the West, If they gain power, they will destroy us. It is their duty to Jihad. Scary.

  20. God made humans in his image to glorify him and to know him and to worship him. God is neither male nor female, and is unknowable by human beings. The root of the word Islam in arabic is peace. After the children of Adam (and Eve) had spread around, God sent his prophets (over 124,000) to each tribe/race/group of people with the same message, when they went off the "right path". This is why the vast majority of religions have the same message. Essentially worship, a life of good conduct, kindness, compassion to those weaker than you, and accountability for your actions.

The main problem with human beings is the inability to be just towards one another, as only God can be truly just. In addition to this ignorance of one another, and of God, has led to the current crisis in the world. The sense of injustice mixed with ignorance, selfishness and hate is a potent poison. This crisis is one for all humanity, not just because 'Islamic fundamentalists want to blow people up'. There are numerous incidents every day all around the world where people commit the worst acts against another, without having to source religion as a motivating factor, e.g. rape, murder, child abuse, domestic violence, etc. The best defence against this poison is to eliminate ignorance and remember that your fellow human being is the same as you, different but essentially the same. Their worth is the same in the eyes of God as you; and you will truly be judged by your conduct, so account for this, on the day you meet your maker.

    Live in peace.

  21. I hate the concept of religion, not just Islam... mainly because I don't agree with any religion claiming that those following it are the only ones who will be saved. I also don't like any religion that isolates itself with rules like " muslims can only marry muslims" or "jews can only marry jews". In my eyes, that's racism and discrimination and therefore not a religion I'd like to subscribe to. Love has no religion, culture or race. If I fall in love with someone of a different religion, then that is my destiny and shouldn't be frowned upon and I certainly should not be punished for it! So if I hate Islam (or any religion) it's because of things like that. Islam in particular, is also a very contradictory religion. On the one hand it says women and men are equal and women should be respected, and flip a few pages forward and it says that husbands can beat their wives! WHAT?!

I think Islam is very confusing and whatever it was (yes I know Muslims all believe that it is the actual word of God), I do believe it has been changed and it's been done as a political move to gain control over populations of people.

  22. Muslim people are not washed by the precious blood of Jesus. They reject Him.

  23. I will start with the first most major flaw.

Is Muhammad a prophet of God and his Qu'ran the word of God?

According to the Qu'ran Muhammad is a prophet of God and meets with the angel Gabriel and receives revelation form him. The god Allah is supposed to be the God of Abraham.

Can any of this be true?

The God of Abraham has directed his people to test a spirit and a prophet of God to be sure they were not false prophets.

Did Muhammad test this spirit to be sure it was from God?

According to the Qu'ran Muhammad was instructed by Gabriel that if he had any doubts about this revelation he should speak with those who read previous scriptures.

This would surely mean that the scriptures from God agree with the Qu'ran at this time of Muhammad.

The Bible says they absolutely have to be in agreement with the word of God and the previous prophets of God.

Now let's see what Muhammad would have found had he did as instructed both by God and by this unproved spirit.

Deut.13: 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

    2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

A prophet of God must be in agreement with the words of the prophets and the known word of God.

1John 2: 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Anyone who claims to be a prophet of God must agree Jesus is the Christ the Son of God who is our savior.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Gal. 1: 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

If an angel or a man preach a different gospel he is not of God.

We can see here that the supposed imposter spirit Gabriel contrary to what he siad was not a spirit from God and the revelation he was sharing was not in agreement with the word of God.

We can also see by these scriptures Muhammad was not in agreement with the previous word of God nor the prophets and could not be a prophet of God.

    Should I continue?

What would be Islam's answer to such a glaring problem?

You and I both know the answer to this question.

Islam contradicts the Qu'ran and calls the word of God corrupt.

If this were true and it is impossible you have a myriad of problems.

    1) How to test a prophet or a spirit with corrupt scriptures.

Not only Muhamamd could be a prophet but so could anyone in the world simply write yourself a book and call the word of God garbage.

    2)

The Qu'ran itself says the word of God can't be changed and that the Qu'ran is a continuation of these previous scriptures and advises Muhammad to check with those who wrote previous scriptures.

Muhamamd even according to the Qu'ran could not be a prophet of God nor the Qu'ran the word of God.

    3)

Could Allah be the God of Abraham as he claims?

Is Allah in agreement with the righteousness of God?

From the begining of the Torah, God warns Adam to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil he will surely die.

Satan, called the serpent lies and tells Eve you will not surely die.

God does not weigh sin. The wages of is is death from the begining of the word of God to the end of his written word.

God could not change his mind and agree with Satan.

It is the reason man needs Jesus and the reason the Son became flesh.

What was the first lie Satan gave to man? You will not surely die. God is not a righteous God and you can make another deal.

My Muslim friend, Satan is again telling the original lie.

Sin does equal death there are no lessers sins and God does not weigh sin and you can't earn salvation.

Salvation is a free gift no man can require it from God.

God is a righteous God and he can not be joined to sin.

God has provided a way for his people to be rejoined to him for eternal life and this is through the Son who became flesh.

The Son became flesh because sin does equal death.

Look around you my friend all men sin and all med die.

The Son came to the world to overcome temptation as a man under law.

Jesus remained perfect even the Qu'ran says he is perfect.

Overcoming temptation sin and death for all who accept the atonement he provides them.

    Should I continue?

Thus far it should be obvious

    1) Muhamamd could not be a prophet of God

    2) Allah could not be the righteous God of Abraham.

    3) The Qu'ran could not be the true word of God.

  24. Well, to tell you the truth I believe that Islam is a misconstrued version of Christianity. There are far to many similarities between the two religions, and I believe in Christianity for one reason being that the Dead Sea Scrolls and all other Christianity related documents where found (and almost definitely created) long before the Qu'ran, etc. were. I do also have a lot of other reasons but this one is the most relevant to your question.

If you wish to bring the topic further then please feel free to IM me on Yahoo! Messenger.

  25. Islam is a form of Gnosticism.

  26. Sure. I used to defend Islam. I did it in a sort of liberal atheist way, the same way I'll defend Wicca for example, b/c I think it's harmless and b/c I usually defend the little guy.Especially against Christians. But then I was on youtube and I saw a Pat Condell video and I said "wait a minute. Is this right ?" and I began looking into Islam both on youtube, the SkepticsAnnotatedQur'an and a few other places and I realized that it's not just Americans (of a non-liberal bent) who criticize Islam but much of the rest of the world. Seems like whereever they go people get to hating their guts. Odd if they're the religion of peace b/c lots of other religions exist without people hating their guts. They tend to be the little ones. So what exactly, specifically do I have against Islam?

    1)female circumcision

    2)child brides

3)multiple child brides (if you have 3 wives then it stands to reason that 2 other guys are going without)

    4)honor killings.

    5)the apostasy thing.

6)the lying about the scientific miracles in the Qur'an thing.

7)The lying about what a beautifull book it is thing

8)teaching your children to hate Jews before they're even able to ride a bicycle.

9)Using the uterus as a weapon by trying to out populate a country.

10)trying to get immunity from criticism

11)flat out killing people when you can't shut them up.

    12) The pattern of Islam in host countries is one of trying to take over NOT live peacable side by side with people.

13)Sharia law. If you come to a country you should live under the laws of that country. Simple decency.

14)Muslims can't get along with each other so they shouldn't be pretending to know anything special about peace.

15)Aqsa Parvesa, both the 'kill your own kids' thing and the oppression of women thing.

16)the way Muslims don't really seem to mind terrorism. They say they do when you bring it up to them but then they save all their marching and protest and death threats for silly little things like cartoons which just proves the cartoonists most basic point most of the time.

I hope that is enough to at least show you that people have legitimate reasons for fearing/mistrusting/hating Islam and to perhaps get you to wonder about the religion you are, presumably, a member of. Tephanie-I'm not trying to start a ruckus but I have to take issue with just one word: 'few' as in 'it's just a few terrorist organizations'.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_des...

This is a pretty extensive list and there are non-Muslim terrorists on it but take a look at how many of those names are Arabic and ask yourself how many non-Muslim Arabs form terrorist organizations ? Are the palestinian Christians to blame for all these ? The Saudi Arabian Jehovah's Witness War for God Front maybe ? (I made that last one up in case we're fuzzy on that).

  27. Islam is like any other religion, the moderates are largely a good group of people who want to practice their beliefs in peace.  The extremists are idiots.

Extremism in any religion or belief just leads to a wide array of idiotic things no matter what belief it originally came from a few modern examples are abortion clinic bombings, bombings between shiites and sunnis, ireland's catholic-protestant guerilla war, islamofascist terrorism, etc, etc, etc.

The moderates are rarely ever involved in or responsible for those kind of horrible acts, just the extremists.  Extremists find a course of action and then look for anything that validates their desire and reject all that defies it.

  28. There is a lot of misconception about Islam, I agree with you. I don't even want to go talking about terrorism, as it's a delicate issue. The fact that "some" muslims are terrorists does not make all muslims criminals (it is NOT a syllogism!!)

However, I think that Islam portrays a mistaken image of Christ and they diffuse wrong doctrines based on one single book. They even claim that Jesus never died on the Cross and that He was not the Son of God....

But this is a spiritual opinion, not a personal one.

    EDIT:

Did you miss the part where Jesus conquers death and rises on the 3rd day? His dead was part of the plan that the Lord had in mind all along. It is written in the messianic prophecies of the OT. It was no accident!
