  1. He is defenitely a good choice.

  2. Happy to see Stuart Broad back. Harmison is not good enough. KP should have brought back Chris Tremlett.

KP as a captain: Need time to assess. It is only his first match.

  3. The first day of the test certainly proved great for him as his team bowled out South Africa under 200 & England seems to be in control at the moment.

  4. the best thing to happen to England in a long long time.

  5. one of the best things that could have happened for england  i mean lets be on est michael vaughn was averaging around 20 runs against south africa and hasn't got a big test hundred in the last couple of test series , everyone new either he resigned or the selectors forced him to go but credit to michael vaughn he was a great captin . but kp is what england need a good leader leading from the front row . he is a positive player will play any shot and will defiantly go down in the history books i mean he is an aggressive player  i mean just look at the way he plays against his rivals south africa hundred as his first match as captin i mean i don't really need to say anymore . but iam extremely glad harmison is back i mean you couldent play the ashes without harmison and it is nearly is a good side all we need now is a good wicket keeper batsman .

  6. Captaincy is a hard job. The first week might make you feel as confident as ever being given the position of captain. But after you lose a few, it starts to eat away at you.

  7. yup, KP can do well with the review and approvals system , already Mahela has done well and got 4 LBWs approved from virtual eyes of Benson and Doctrove~

    hope this helps!

    god bless!

    good Q!

  8. It's a bold move; however, fortune favours the brave.

I get it wrong sometimes, just like anybody else, and one day doesn't make a captaincy; but he appears confident and capable.  I think this will rub off on the team.

When I suggested him a year ago, my friends laughed me to scorn.

I just hope they, the EWCB, give him their full backing.

    Addenda:

I think he can be successful; however six months to a year is needed to assesse him, as other posters are pointing out.

    Interesting question though.

I'm glad to see Broad back also.  He scores runs; even if he doesn't always take wickets.  He's a promising all rounder.

With respect though, I don't agree with vssarma about Harmison.  When he's fit, he's very intimidating.  Even those Aussie's in 2005 found him a handful.

  9. he  looks to be aggressive captain

  10. ill give comments after one or two series

  11. I like KP in cheese and onion flavour. Seriously, they are all rubbish. Bring back Botham and Boycott.

  12. Too early to say, but there is a vast improvement in a short time.

  13. Just watch, he is going to be a good captain!

  14. Um ask this in another month or so.The guy just captained his first match..

  15. KP seems quite good as the England captain, but we'll just have to wait and see what he can achieve.

Happy he's bought S.Broad back and S.Harmison also seems in top form so it was good to see him back too.

  16. Will be a good thing for 2011 world cup...........

  17. I am watching him Bat right now and i have to say that he is very composed - While Andre Nel is trying to intimidate him...

He will be fantastice - Hopefully very attacking and will get rid of Bell

Who is a waste of time batsman ...

  18. KP will do the best for England

    yes ,of course
