It is really hard to make an informed comment on this "engine" as it has not been presented in the usual manner.

It is more usual to present an engine of this type on much taller and open mounts.  It is also customary to have the big end feature prominently with minimal visual obstruction.

From what little I know of this particular type of engine it is quite high maintenance. The engine needs to be taken out for a regular run,serviced and tweaked regularly to keep it performing well.

To keep the engine presentable it is necessary to keep it waxed as failure to do so would get prickly quickly and if left unchecked  things could get really hairy. A regular rub over with a light oil helps retain a glossy finish and a soft silky feel.

Fortunately caring for an engine such as this, usually brings pleasure and is rarely ever a chore. You will probably find yourself lovingly caressing it when opportunity presents itself and you are away from prying eyes.

I'm sure that if you and Kate..... Sorry Katherine look after her engine it will give many years of joy and pleasure to you both.
