  1. i think the move will help the white sox get some separation in the division from the minnesota twins

  2. I am mad cuz I am a reds fan and they had NO right to move him

BUT IT IS GREAT FOR THE SOX hope HE HELPS THEM MAKE A COME BACK good LUCK

  3. I'm so excited. Me and my brother love Griffey and the sox. Theyre gonna dominate. sox to the WS all the way baby. I'd love to see the cubs and sox in the WS that would be so exciting.

  4. Well, I hope the move can get them into the playoffs and past the first round. I'm surprised that the Twins have kept up with the White Sox, but I hope it's not for long.

  5. Well he helped them win yesterday.  I feel sorry for the opposing pitchers with the line up the Sox have, it'll only get better when Crede comes back.

  6. I was very unconvinced about the chicago whitesox trading for junior. I thought: sure hes a future hall of famer, but hes certainly not in his prime. But i also thought, he has yet to win a WC despite his fantastic carreer, and i think that that might compell him.

Seeing him play in his debut really gave me a good impression of junior.

In his debut with the sox he went 2 for 3 with 2 two out RBI singles and a run scored. The only time he got out was on a deeep fly to center that would have been a home run in most ball parks. Not to mention one of his singles started a 2 out rally. It seems like seeing this future hall of famer really boosted the whitesox and he may have a bigger impact than i expected. Sure hes not the same ball player that he was in the 90s for seatle, but he is a smart player and is good in the clutch. As i already said too the being in contention might really compell him.

Im not gonna say that junior is going o provide us with the wc or even the al central, but i now agree with the white sox that he is a great addition to the team.

  7. very good move

  8. Didn't see that comming!

  9. I was a little surprised.  I don't think Griffey is the type of player that is going to really contribute and put that team over the top, and get them in the position to beat out everyone else in that league.  What I thought would have been better for him, would be to go to a team that needed the publicity, and needed to get more fans in the seats.  You can get people to come out to see a future HOFer

  10. ......... i feel that he should have been on the padres and never on the reds or white sox.....THAT d**n PHIL NEVIN

  11. All they gave up was a pitcher who was the 25th man, and a washed up prospect second baseman who couldn't make the team in spring training then went on the DL.

    He'll sell tix

    He'll platoon where needed

He knows he does not have to carry this team and relax and be "the kid" again.

Looking at him during interviews he seems reinvigorated, and ready to contribute and have fun playing again.

Hope he stays healthy.  Imagine his stats without all those trips to the DL. He'd have passed Hammering Hank without the juice!
