As a player he's really in a class of his own in the NBA.  That's not saying he's a Jordan or anything, but with what's in the league right now, he is the clear cut #1 player, amazing skills both offensively and defensively.  Most offensively gifted players in today's age don't/couldn't play defense to save their lives

As a person it seems like he's matured a lot with the rape case and with having to act as the mentor to the youngsters on the Lakers.  He seems to let his play do the talking.  You can tell he's matured because he chose not to say much to Shaq's rap attack recently.  Previously he would have made a media parade out of it going back and forth with Shaq.

as a player his game is still evolving to this day cause of his work ethic.

as a person i believe he has really matured.  i think after that whole rape trial he had realized what he had done.  He had realized the harm he did to his family and what potentially could've happened.

also i believe he has learnt to be more social off the court.  and now really wants to be more involved with things around him.  u hear all about how he went to multiple events at the olympics and how athletes from other countries supported him.  u also hear about how down to earth he is with his fans, like how he went to a comic book store personally to ask for opinions.

though his demands to be traded were immature after the laker organization committed on him instead of shaq.  though it wasn't unwarranted i felt he really should've just played the last 2 years on his contract if he really felt betrayed.

As a player, hes a good guy, i think he wants refs to respect him more because he has been told by the world hes the best player on the planet, and that hurts his team sometimes, when they put the ball in his hand during crunch time, Hes very hard to stop, smart, and getting better every year.

As a person he has a good heart, he act professional, most NBA players dont respect their wives on the road and sometimes not even at home, thats nothing new, they just dont get caught. But i believe hes has matured and he realize he has something good at home, his family

As a player: AMAZING

As a person: Awsome.  Alot of Kobe photos, I always see him with his wife and kids, and always happy.  A extremely great father.  He helps his young teammates alot also.  And the shaq rap, he just ignored it. That is something not everyone would do.
